Just because a narrative is repeated over and over, doesn't mean it's true.

Dames Career Playoff Averages
25.7 4.5 6.2 1.2 0.3

Dame's Playoff Averages vs Golden State
27.6 4.5 6.5 1.2 0.2

So in summary:
  • Original poster stated the Warriors stop Dame
    • The stats point out that Dame might have more individual success against the Warriors than any team int he league
  • KingSpeed assumes the OP was referencing the playoffs and states the Warriors shut down Dame in the playoffs
    • The stats point out that Dame is probably slightly above average vs the Warriors in the playoffs in comparison to other teams
So let's file this narrative in the trash next to the "Steph kills the Blazers in the playoffs because we played drop coverage" despite the data also suggesting Steph has had near average success against Portland in the playoffs, despite tgoing against the Blazers poor guard defenders.

The Warriors team success against Portland has been due to them having 3-4 all-stars against the Blazers 1. They've always been more talented, it's that simple.
Shooting percentages please. Also- Curry had 30+ in all 4 WCF games. Curry also set an NBA playoff record against us for points scored in an OT period. Dame has had some great reg season games against GS and one great playoff game against them (Game 3, 2016 out of 13 total playoff games vs GS)

So Ja Morant ended up with X-rays that were negative on the injury to his right hand. He was already dealing with an injury to his right hand and this is on top of that issue already. Yes he shoots right.
You have to wonder if he can come back from this in time before they drop another home game? Right now odds have the Grizzlies as a 1 point favorite but i expect that to change when the injury report comes out.

Seems like the biggest story in the east is the New York Knicks even thought the #8 Heat just beat the *1 Bucks. How is it that the 4-5 series takes a bigger slice than a huge upset? When Steven A. Smith gets on the TV today you might as well just turn the volume down.

C'Mon guys....a #2 gets spanked by a lowly #7 at HOME and nobody is talking about this on here. How come?
Because literally everybody expected it to happen?
The real surprise is that Denver won. Literally everyone was saying that the West first round is all upsets this year.

Anybody here give a shit about the East? I don't know what it is but I find all the East teams really boring. Although: how about that Jimmy Butler?

The NBA bails out the Lakers at the trade deadline to save them from their horrible offseason decisions. Them winning that game isn’t a surprise and I’m guessing a lot of people see those things.

Wow, so they didn't do anything good or earned anything? You are better than that. According to this place they are a fucking horrible team, I was impressed such a bad team won on the road being such underdogs is all I'm saying.

I don't think they are horrible, which is why I didn't view it as an upset. I live in LA and I have told the same thing to every Laker fan I work with. It is all about matchups and Memphis is a vastly better matchup for them than Denver would have been. Memphis is the #2 seed but based on the end of the season I view them as the 7th best team in the West. If you want me to give the Lakers props then here you go: Reaves and Hachimura played great.

If there is a way to get Butler to Portland, we need to do it. He is elite.

I've love to do all the work for your inaccurate claim: I believe his shooting percentage is 2% lower, but I'm not going to double check. You've now moved the goalposts from Dame being bad against the Warriors in general, to the playoffs, to Steph Curry having a great half in one playoff game.

Again... the narrative that the Warriors have individually shut down Dame is at best far overblown and more likely totally inaccurate. What isn't overblown is the talent disparity between the Warriors and the Blazers in the last 10 years.

I don’t think so FAMS. We were told the Lakers were shit all season on here….or are you saying they were just saying that because they HATE them so much. This is crazy.

There is a distinct possibility that the conversation in reference to the post directly above yours might be related to the same poster saying the Lakers Suck all season. Of course he might not be able to see your comment for possible other reasons that at this point might be unrelated?
My advice here is to "Consider the source".

Because as stated below.

This is crazy.

Lakers were 27-32 before the trade deadline. For all of those crummy losses Blazer fans were complaining about {raises hand}, Portland still maintained a better record then LA at 28-30. The Lakers were getting their butts kicked, no doubt about it.

The Lakers had no 1st round pick like the Blazers. They couldn't bug out like Portland and nosedive into the draft. Los Angeles decided to rapidly improve their team by slashing Westbrooks bloated contract, and scoop up several good players at the trade deadline. The adjustments worked quite well, and LAL went 16-5 during a strong finish to the season.

There comes a time in every blazer fans life where hating the l*kers is a must. There needs to be no other justification for hating the l*kers except that it is a moral imperative, not burdened by any modifiers.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

We were told all season how shitty they were, that’s all I’m saying. I guess if you’re a Blazers fan you can’t acknowledge another team is playing well.

That's where you're wrong. The l*kers never play well.

Those two small guards are giving gs fits.

Fuck man how the hell did the poverty ridden Kings lap the hell outta us?

Warriors and Kings plays so fast that I missed Chauncey pick and roll
