Yep, I already have tickets and I am counting the days!

Re: Trail Blazers 2013-14 Schedule

I will likely go. Was looking at lesving town over that weekend previously.... but might need to reconsider.

Re: Trail Blazers 2013-14 Schedule

I thought we already did this?

So today (7/30) is the day the team released info for the date the team will release dates detailing when games are played. Sweet.

Re: Trail Blazers 2013-14 Schedule

Who cares about the NBA schedule?

2-3 of the dates will be interesting, but otherwise, it's pretty inconsequential. You'll play Eastern teams twice and Western teams four times... where's the surprise?

When NCAA teams release their schedules, I'm interested, but who the hell really cares about their team's NBA schedule, outside finding out who they're playing on opening day and when the Lakers/Heat come into town?

That's not entirely true. You don't play all western team four times. There are some you play only three times.

Also sometimes the schedule is important to a fan like me; that must plan a trip up north to watch games. I like finding the best 3 games in 7 days to give me the best experience once a year.

Re: Trail Blazers 2013-14 Schedule

Won't you miss your regional D&D semi-final match?

Haha. I hate to play grammar police, but it's DP, not D&D, and Mrs HCP hosts that on the first multi day roadie

HCP and other people who are on all the road games care a ton obviously because thats when they have to travel out of town.

I care mostly to see the first few games, when we play the Lakers, when Greg Oden comes to town. Its not a huge deal but what the heck else is there to talk about the next 2 months?

Get season tickets and you will understand.

I remember always being excited when the schedule came out actually. I loved seeing when all the big games were gonna' be.

Aug 6!! Damn! Not as soon as my sources said! Sorry! Delete this thread! :devilwink:

The NBA only allows teams to play on holidays if you have a big name superstar or are a team in a large market.

The NBA will officially unveil its schedule on Tuesday, August 6 on NBA TV at 6:00 PM.

Many of the games have leaked already, including most of its Christmas Day schedule. The Miami Heat will play the Los Angeles Lakers, while the New York Knicks will host the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Brooklyn Nets will also hot the Chicago Bulls on Christmas Day.

The Heat are expected to open the regular season against the Bulls.

Split season tickets 4 ways, and he'll understand. :)

I have my first 'game draft' this year. Got in on 1st level baseline seats when someone dropped out of a group. I have the #2 pick, which means Miami is going to be out of the question unless the #1 pick guy is on vacation. Of course, he can always take that game and sell the tickets, too, which would be a pretty good idea.

I'm leaning toward either a Clipper or OKC game with my first pick.

Yeah I'm curious what our first game is I'm sure somebody out there knows.

People. you need to be real......... we won't be playing on XMAS for quite a while.

If the Blazers make the playoffs and Lillard turns into an elite talent, and the Blazers keep LMA, they will be on XMAS day next year. It wasn't long ago when the Blazers were regulars during the night game on ESPN on 12/25.

I think the odds are 50/50 that in 2014-15 the Blazers host the night XMAS game. The NBA knows it will be sold out if things fall in place for the Blazers this season.
