My guess is that he is either trying to be as much a part of this team as possible, or he wants to remind the team that he is still around, and is the man.

I have never heard or read anywhere and I know there has been no press release stating he may sit for the rest of the season. As for him being dressed, I too was surprised. Maybe he is trying to show support for his team.

I believe it was from an interview they did with Roy yesterday, so it was "straigth from the source" so to speak. The problem being, that they black out all Portland games that are broadcast on comast, so most Portland fans couldn't see it.

I love the fact that he dresses for games. He also huddles with the subs before the game when they do their thing.

Brandon has gotten dogged on this board for his attitude, but I think he is doing the best he can under the circumstances. he could go away and pout or feel sorry for himself that he went from all star and one of the hardest players to guard in the NBA to hurting the team on the floor and writers saying the Blazers are better without him (in less than one season)

Roy cares about the team and is there with the guys as they battle to try and make the playoffs.

Agree.

It was nice to see Greg sitting on the bench last night as well.

Yea I don't see any reason for folks to rip on Roy. He didn't choose for any of this to happen to him, and he has always played hard for us.

I would say most people are going through the normal stages of grief. Many folks get stuck on anger.

True enough.

The other problem is that some fans are still wondering if this is a "phantom" injury that will magically heal if the team trades the team-mates he doesn't like.

Yeah, he's probably meeting with an expert orthopedic surgeon with experience in meniscus transplants to discuss his phantom injury and how he can better pout his way into getting the Blazers to trade Miller.

Maybe his suits are at the cleaners.

Ah, but that's the genius of it! He meets with a surgeon associated with another team, but the meeting is *actually* with a rival GM that he hopes to negotiate a trade with! Diabolical! :devilwink:

That reminds me of the episode of M*A*S*H where BJ got a compartment hemorrhage in his hand after the autoclave exploded, and they got a specialist to come in and fix it. His hand, not the autoclave (although I'm sure someone fixed it).

But there was one problem, Hawk and Beej both hated the guy because they thought he was a complete jerk. Well, BJ and Hawkeye didn't like him because he didn't think they walked on water.

Anyways, BJ says to Hawk that he should have died on the operating table just to show the doctor he's not as good as he thought he was.

Brandon is taking a page out 1950's Korean War tactics!

Now THAT is a sign you're old.

Oh wait, wrong thread.

Because he can still easily play. He can easily come in for a few minutes (or even a lot of minutes, though he's not very good) if we suffer several injuries in a roster emergency, and suddenly need bodies. This will continue until he has surgery. Only then will he be truly unable to play.
