Also... Lache wanted to play with his friend Trovon Reed a lot I remember.. maybe between now and next wed he can convince him to think about the Ducks again ;)

really as their list stands it's pretty darned impressive... already arguably Oregon's best ever on paper. A quality DT would round things out perfectly for me though there are supposed to be several other highly thought of silents and even more on the fence still deciding

I'm recalling a thread from this summer questioning whether Oregon's cross country recruiting strategy would pay off...

oh man I remember that thread too!!! I hope we can find it again. Yes D line is all that is left.. young DB's already with more on the way, LB's are set! Just gotta get some D-lineman now. But yes.. very impressive class.

although now that I read it.. the thread was kinda de-railed and not much was talked about with the actual topic lol.

the OP question posed in that thread is what I'm referring to not the inevitable stupid pissing contest.

Oregon seems to have a bit of a Texas pipeline going with Williams and Seastrunk from this class and Thomas James and Cantu coming from previous ones. With as few D1 HS athletes that this state produces, it seems like this could be a significant development. They also have pulled a couple of recruits from North Carolina and a top DB from a huge HS in Michigan.

lol yeah I gotcha. I too notice the pipeline started which is awesome! What a hotbed for talent. And one can only think them having relationships with other players from there, ie Seastrunk becoming friends with LaMichael.. that has to help. Especially the higher the profile the better.

must be nice...

Just stole another recruit already commited to The Huskies. First Keanan Lowe, and now the #7 kicker according to scout. Maldonado :D

The big news will be when Owa commits. I'm praying he picks the Beavs over Nebraska!

he is gonna be a HUGE get for whoever gets him... at this point I have to pray that he picks Nebraska if he wont go to Eugene. I dont wanna face him every year lol.

Looks like the Ducks also landed Eric Dungy (Tony Dungy's son) probably be a WR, and a good prospect with him probably redshirting, and possibly even gray shirting according to some.

It'd be cool of a local kid went to a local school. As long as that local school wears orange and black I mean.

Anyone here a Scot?

Having a prestiges coach's son pick UO has got to be a good sign for the program. right?

not sure I follow sorry.... are you saying Prestigious coach? If so.. I'm sure it cant help to have the Dungy name associated with the Ducks... class act that dude is.

The link provided in this thread says he has already choosen Nebraska. :(

you sure? there's no reference on oregonlive.com, nor any on espn.com

I'd think that'd be pretty big news.

Nevermind, I saw an article basically saying that. Oh well. Hope he has a good career.

Yeah I misspelled it (duh). The idea is some can see this as maybe Tony Dungy giving an endorsement to the UO program and CK (since his kid is going there). Also, players looking to go to the next level might figure figure that Tony Dungy will be watching the games . . . maybe they get scouted without really be officially scouted.

Alright, checking myself, I'm reading too much into this . . .

lol no prob. I just wanted to make sure I understood the post correct. I'm sure it could be taken the way you are reading it, as good exposure for the NFL.. but also reading into it.. maybe his kid sucks, but it could be viewed as a favor for the mentoring and image rebuilding that Tony did with Blount. lol now I am reading too into it!

whoah when did UNC get GIO? I just checked on him the other day and he had OSU and UNC high.

edit.. the link was edited before I could check

the story is that Cal offered Keenan's not so talented QB cousin. SI is reporting that Gabe to Cal has happened

I looked at Keenan Allen's scout and he has Cal and Clemson as high interest, and Alabama as low now though. and Rivals has medium as both. I dunno what to think lol. tomorrow could get interesting.
