The part that stands out to me is that out of the names I recognize, only Griffin is an elite NBA rebounder. Of course, he was the #1 pick, and other than Beasely, the rest were well out of the lottery, or were busts if they were picked.

Looking at Millsap, I have to wonder how the "rebounding translates to the NBA" mantra can be true?

Millsap has averaged 9.3 rebounds/36 in the NBA, which while OK, certainly isn't what you'd expect from a 3-time NCAA rebounding champ.

Plus, Millsap has 2" on Faried, plus 30 lbs.

Well, hopefully it wasn't a blunder. Cunningham and Pendergraph over Blair was a blunder. I'm not optimistic on this pick.

That said, I'll wait and see and hope for the best. Maybe the people comparing Smith to Collison will prove to be right, which would be cool.

Blair got benched against Memphis and had a 9.3 PER for the series. Cunningham was the only active player in the Wallace trade.

Blair still can't defend his own shadow, and Memphis abused the poor chap.

That's cool. Blair has been good for two seasons while Cunningham has been a step up from useless overall and Pendergraph has been useless. I'll take the guy who's been good most of his NBA career and had a poor playoffs, to the guy(s) who just aren't good. Cunningham had a 14.3 PER his rookie year when he had a role.

Blair just got his minutes replaced by Kawhi Leonard.

Neither has proven anything in terms of winning in the NBA.

I don't think Faried will have trouble rebounding the ball. He's a specialty player -- rebounding/shotblocking. He's not going to score like Milsap, not even close.

He wouldn't have changed the franchise, but he'd have made the team a little bit better. Plus, the team could have had both him and Cunningham. They passed on him twice in the second round.

He was so much better he got benched in the playoffs agaisnt an 8-seed. Meanwhile, Cunningham had a 24.8 PER against PHX in the playoffs, and should have played more, IMO.

He never led the league in total rebounds...second was the highest he ranked. He did lead the league in offensive rebounds three times.

Danny Fortson led the league in Rebound Rate once, and he was 6'7''.
