This guy is off his fucking rocker!

The entire block knows this person as "that crazy guy" and tonight my neighbor saw him chasing this stray cat in his driveway and hit the cat in the face with a hammer, the cat took off and the guy yelled "got him in the fucking face" and then proceeded to laugh, he was very proud of himself.

It's being taken care of -- there was another witness and apparently this isn't the first time he's been seen hitting animals with objects.

I hate scum like this.

Back in the Tron, we have a neighbor that we call ManBaby.

ManBaby has a massive truck, a massive SUV, some sort of red sports car and a motorcycle. The motorcycle he polishes every Sunday and revs the engine for an hour and then puts back in the garage, never to be ridden. I've seen him drive the sports car ONCE.

He likes to shoot at neighborhood cats with a BB gun while his children scream at him to stop, while he screams at them (in the most desperate whiney sounding voice possible -- not at all threatening) "get back in the houuuuuussseee!!" We reported him shooting at his own cats for walking on his car to the police, and a week later our own outdoor and car-walking cat disappeared never to be seen again. For a month after that, when his friends would come over to look at his car, they'd loudly talk about their second amendment rights.

Living overseas has its perks.

I'd like to plug all the neighbor dogs with BBs. The only animal I want walking in my yard is the deer who shows up now and then.

It's up to cat owners to control their pets.

Just how I am supposed to keep my cats in my yard only is anyone's guess. Mostly, they stay there. But try and build a fence cats can't climb. They are unaware of property rights. They have also never damaged anyone's home, pets, or property. Nor do they leave shit on other's front yards, as neighborhood dogs have on mine.

They have, however, elminated the mice that were in the area when we first moved in. Cleaned out a nest of rats.

BTW, at least in the US, shooting at or otherwise trying to harm a domestic animal is a crime.

Well, one downside to cats is that they like to use kid sandboxes (or for that matter flowerbeds) as litterboxes. I guess you could look at it as fertilizer in the case of a garden, but the discovery of a turd nugget can be kind of a bummer.

Are they American citizens? If not, it's completely legal for the government to "disappear" them, torture them, or drone them from above.

I like having neighborhood cats roaming around, because we live by a field that has rats/mice. We've got a lot of Coytes roaming around back there though, which will have killed quite a few neighborhood cats. I always try to keep mine in, but one got a "taste of the wild" and would dart out at every opportunity, and one night he darted out and never came back, and my neighbors cat disappeared a week earlier.

But hitting an animal like that is a serious crime and he should be reported to the authorities.

As an aside, I live in a downstairs "apartment" of a house. Actually, it's a pretty nice setup. Anyway, the owner rents out the upstairs to a pretty cool couple (and their little boy). We've all been renting there around two years. The owner is also now renting out the shop which is adjacent to the house. The owner had been growing medical maryjane in the shop, but is now renting the space to the "new guy" to do the same. Well, not only is he renting the shop, but, this past weekend the guy shows up with cages and little kennels.........assembled them in the back yard (which, interestingly, belongs to the house as part of that rent), and pitbulls!!

I was gone last weekend, but yesterday my upstairs neighbor knocks on my door...then goes on to lament about all the barking, the other neighbors dropping by his place and complaining, his "chat" with the owner, the safety issues, the riff-raff the new guy is bringing around, yada, yada, yada.......

The owner apologized to him, but gave him a lame excuse ans said the new guy and his dogs were staying. My neighbor (a SOLID renter for over two years!) gave his notice.

Sad deal. I'm now debating if I may give my notice, as well.........

You can always call animal control. You need a license to have more than 5 pets. If the property is not zoned to act as a kennel; then he must get rid of them or leave. Then the renter will just suspect your neighbor called them.
