Neil can shove his assets up his ***

Welcome to our community

Prediction: Right now Denny is setting his alarm clock to ring in the middle of the night, when no one watches the board. He will sneak the cuss word back into the thread title, fast as he can, and then log off before anyone notices. The only one who will notice is me, because I patrol the board then to prevent TrueBlueFan from annexing it to his territory. He'll move in if our board is ever left unoccupied. So Denny, I won't raise a squawk if I see you doing it. I won't post anything to get it noticed. You keep your dignity and sneak back here tonight, and I'll pretend I was reading Google News and missed it.

Exactly. I think more threads should be terminated for lack of explanation. Not only does he use a curse word in the title, he offers nothing on what he would have done differently.

I was not aware that *** is a curse word.

I figured the OP was giving Neil the option to choose his own adventure. Neil can shove his assets up his ______. There's so many possibilities!

It wasn't *** yesterday

It wasn't *** yesterday

At first, I edited the title.

After opening the thread, the first post simply was an insult directed toward NO.

The Blazers have been great about letting us post the most critical kinds of things about the team and management, but this was an insult not some sort of criticism.

Letting us? What good is a forum about a sports team that can't criticize the coach, players, owner, management? It's not a concession. It's our right as fans to be able to post critical things about the team.

And the first post is an insult? (Not talking about the thread title here) Maybe but that is very tame compared to what is said on the interwebs. Throwing around that someone sitting behind a computer in their undies is a better GM then the current one is said around all over the web on a daily basis. I find it very hard to believe that Neil is going to be hurt by it.

Based on the information the OPer included in his post. Not only is he not qualified to be a NBA GM. He is not qualified to decide which toy he would put into a Cracker Jack box, if there was only one toy.

Wtf is there to complain about what NO did yesterday?

There's a better way to title a thread and still criticize management....shoving things up a GMs *** seems to be something I've never seen as a headline on any sports site ..Even Donald Sterling didn't get that kind of coverage.

Coverage? Headline? It's not a news piece. It's the personal opinion of an upset fan on a sports forum.

I'm pretty sure Donald Sterling got much, much worse.

Blazer management has co-opted this board's ownership. There are 3 age-old methods.

1. They paid off Denny to do their bidding.
2. They indoctrinated Denny until he actually believes that he should obey their orders.
3. They blackmailed him. They got him involved with some woman they keep on staff to get pictures. Could be Mrs. HCP.

I know that Denny isn't stupid, enough, to 2) believe their false ideals, and is 3) incapable of getting interested in a woman. It is clear that the only remaining possibility is that 1) they paid him off to pretend to be an idiot. There's plenty of other evidence for that, but to cut to the chase, the only way to bring back Denny out of the cold is to pay him more than they do. So I call upon the posters of this board to take up alms for Denny. Together, we can defeat Blazer management. I'll be the first. I hold in my hands a shiny Kennedy half-dollar that must be worth 5 times that. I will flip it for every hundred dollars that posters offer and watch it sparkle.

It's a thread title in bad taste...that as someone mentioned has no substance or material worth discussing...around here, you can post his title in any Olshey thread but the title and post of it's creator were more of the "trolling variety" ....and in equal fashion....my personal opinion of the thread is probably what he was going for...a reaction..

What this board needs is a Trump takeover. Trump wouldn't worry about kissing Blazer management's ass. Trump never puts asterisks into a word. Trump takes on the Pope. When Trump dies, God will answer to Trump. This board needs Trump.

If we moved/deleted all the posts that fit one of those criteria:

A. No substance or material worth discussing
B. Thread or post in bad taste
C. Trolling variety/going for reaction

There wouldn't be hardly anything left on the forum.

Nah...the forum has been great...good threads, topics, good discussion...sorry, this thread is in the vast minority of worthless threads. PapaG would've tore this guy a new ***hole to shove his ideas up. It's all good though, in the end the thread is still here, slightly moderated title and already 5 pages of response..you can thank the mods for that..

Moving a thread to the OT forum is basically shadow banning it because significantly fewer people visit/post on the OT forum.

You are so selfless, it just brings a tear to my nostril.

I think Neil did a pretty good job yesterday given that he kept the entire core together. To get a future 1st, a future 2nd, and an improvement at your emergency backup PG spot all for a future 2nd and money you had to spend anyway seems like a win. I think he as done very well drafting and trading for bargain players who could fill a spot as well as some solid mid-value players.

The two things I do have a bit of an issue with is the continued trend of losing so many players for nothing and the players he's tried to sign to big deals. Thank goodness Hibbert and Kantor went elsewhere but can you imagine if we had been stuck with those two? Even Hawes at the mid-level has been a bust.

As for players leaving, Aldridge, Lopez, Matthews, Freeland, Wright, Afflalo, and now likely Henderson, Kaman and possibly Leonard. That is a TON of players in 2 years that Neil could recieve absolutely NOTHING for. I get that there were circumstances but that is still the reality of it and there were certainly signs about Aldridge for some time. Assets are one thing but if you aren't able to get anything for them over and over again, that is one area I would at least submit is questionable.

I agree with you on his failed signings, and of course the Afflalo trade turned out to be a big time bust.

But the only player i'd ding him for not trading is LA. But I don't see how any of the others represent a "trend". Freeland and Wright are not even playing in the NBA anymore. Kaman is washed up. He didn't know Wes would snap his Achilles. It's risk for a team to trade a 1st rounder to rent a guy on the last year of their contract (see Afflalo)

Aldridge: you know the story...

Lopez, Matthews, Afflalo:
All would have been re-signed had Tex not turned his coat.

Freeland, Wright:
Both were UFAs who are both out of the NBA.

Leonard: even though no one has a good source, it has been said that NO offered him a contract (I don't believe that btw). He is an RFI and we have the ability to match if we want to keep him. I like the idea of letting the market decide how much he is worth. If a contract was offered, logic dictates that it was probably small.

Likely Henderson, Kaman:
Henderson is playing on the best team that he's ever played on. Something tells me he'll re-sign if he wants to keep winning IMO Chris Kaman doesn't have any market value which is why he's not gone.
