that won't get it done, for Afflalo IMO it will have to e CJ/pick/Trob, that "might" get it done. Green was had for a late first and scrubs, we missed on that one

Green is better than Afflalo, so why wouldn't it get done? I'm pretty confident that Denver would trade either Afflalo or chandler if our 1st round pick is involved.

OKC has been close to trading Reggie Jackson to Denver. If there is some possible way to get Jackson without giving too much then sign me up. I'd give OKC 2 expiring contracts and a first rounder for Jackson!

I'd give up quite a bit to get Reggie Jackson ... just don't see OKC trading him to the division leader midseason though.

Would the Blazers have interest in Evan Turner?

I'd hope so, he fits the need we have. He is obtainable too, probably could get him for T-Rob and Barton.

I'd like to see a move for turner, we need to take a small risk to solidify some firepower off the bench, another guy I like that gets a lot of hate is Jeremy Lin, he is expiring and he can score, he will make mistakes but what 6th man doesn't?

I wouldn't want Lin, not because he sucks, but because we need that wing that can get to the line. Lin isn't that type of player

What about someone like Anthony Tolliver? Pistons are pretty much done after losing Jennings, and he'd come fairly cheap. Known as a great team guy and locker room presence so I wouldn't think there would be chemistry issues to worry about.

At this point I just want a player who can handle the ball and score, Lin isn't a terrible finisher (from what I've seen) either. I think crabbe is the wing we need, he just needs more minutes.

Afflalo, Turner, or Beasley, depending on the cost.

Afflalo would be solid. Turner and Beasley come with some personality risk (especially Turner).

Beasley would cost nothing more than opening up a roster spot. I'd take the chance.

He will make a move for a backup Wing, this isn't something that is suddenly going to transform this team and were getting a new starter that is an upgrade. Olshey is too smart to mortgage the future for right now. Most of the wings that are rumored to be available are expiring contracts so its not going to be a big trade and the one i'm personally hoping he has been holding out for is something like Claver/Barton/Trob and a 1st for Afflalo.
The Blazers don't need a blockbuster trade. They just will need more scoring off the bench from the SF or SG position.

Lin might not be as bad as people think. I've said before just because a guy doesn't fit into one system doesn't mean he wont fit into the next. Lin needs to find the right system to play in to be effective.

He's played for us before

There's a reason why we let him go before.

Watching chandler and Afflalo tonight. If evan turner didn't have personality issues he'd be my choice.

Tayshaun wouldn't be a bad alternative either.

Anthony Tolliver? How does he fit? He isn't a scorer and that's what we need.

"In particular, Olshey said he wants a player with specific qualities: A shooter who is also a willing passer as well as a smart defender."
Yeah you're right Lin and Evan Turner are the players to put the Blazers over the top.

You'd rather have Tolliver who has only averaged over 10 points once in his career on a bad team, with career numbers of 6/4/1 in 20 minutes?... Plus he is a tweener, he would give us no more than Claver does.

Let me be clear in that I don't want Tolliver... but what does his career numbers (PPG or otherwise) have anything to do with how he'd fit in this team?

A lot considering we need a player who can be instant offense (someone other than kaman) any given night off the bench. I'm sure Tolliver is a good guy and all but he is what he is, a journeyman tweener. We already have Wright and claver who are 3-4s and they barely crack the lineup.

Letting the cake bake only works for so long. You can't just sit back waiting for players to blossom.

We're past letting the cake bake, we're a couple dick hairs away from being a legitimate threat to win it all, now is the time to go all in, especially with the uncertainty of next season, we don't know if lma, wes or Lopez are gonna be Blazers going forward.

Maybe Neil can get a sweetheart of a deal done. Supposedly he's well connected with the agents around the league. I'm not holding my breathe.

Go all in? The two names you've mentioned you like are Evan Turner and Jeremy Lin...one of these two make the Blazers a legit threat to win it all?
