I was never a huge fan of Mo Williams, but, from a locker room perspective, he could come in handy right about now. It was he who told Batum he needed to step up and outplay Parsons during halftime of Game 1 vs. Houston.

And if we got him, where would he play? Backup 2-Guard minutes? Also, I'm not down with dealing a 1st Round Pick to Minny for his services either.

The Crabbe hype is crazy.

He showed flashes but has been otherwise underwhelming.

Per36: 8.5 PPG on 43 FG%
PER100 pos: 12.0 PPG (this is putrid)
9.2 PER

I think this shows just how weak this teams' SG/SF depth really is.

Agreed. i havent seen anything to impress me and he has had starts. not extreme limited minutes

Yeah, Meyers minutes last night made no sense to me.

He started center and got out hustled by a smaller guy from the outset. Didnt play terrible, but a center of his size should have dominated Milwaukies starting center.

Stott's maybe listening to this board, started Meyers at center and it failed. Stotts spent the rest of the game trying to recover his rotation from that mistake.

Meyer's isnt a center and shouldnt be playing center, no matter his size. He is a Kevin Love type player and needs an inside presence to be truly effective. I cant wait to see how his growth works out coming in and playing with Rolo at times.

He's just a pretty awesome defensive rebounder, becoming a really good defender and is about as efficient as you can be (shooting only when wide-open, looking for cutters, not turning the ball over) on offense. But you're probably right, he's a baby Kevin Love with a really good attitude. Who the hell needs that on our team? Especially when we have 3 other players 6'11 and above who have an injury?

And how does a first half "rotation mistake" translate to the 2nd half? IF you were right about him getting torched (and you aren't), why wasn't he back in the "first big off the bench" role in the 2nd half? Stotts thought that a small stretch 4 (Wright) was going to work better?

I never said Meyers GOT torched I said he WILL get torched by the rest of the league. I said he didn't dominate the smaller guy, which is what a 7'2 center should do. I am not saying he CANT play center at limited minutes, but I do not think training him, gearing him up to be a career center is a good idea.

I will agree with you that the third quarter is where we lost the game, and Meyers wasn't in the paint. Don't get me wrong. We need Meyers to be a defensive impact in the paint as well as and offensive rebounder, but I don't think he should be playing Center, except in extreme situations. I do not think we are there yet.

Just because the Blazers name isnt active in trade rumors doesnt mean Olshey isnt living on the phone. Portland hasnt leaked much info before any moves have been made since Neil arrived. It was the same when he ran the Clippers.

Problem with that is Mo isn't on a multi year contract. That would mean it's a one year rental because we would be over cap and can't resign him

I know, just venting my frustration from not "hearing" anything yet, Jeff Green would be looking very nice in a Blazer uni the past 2-3 weeks

I don't think we need to trade anyone or for anyone. There is a championship team in this roster right now. The problem is only Aldridge is performing
at that level. No one else on the team is performing up to the level they could if given the role. Some are doing even worse than adequate and I don't think they know what they have been asked to do. Neil needs to be busy but trading isn't it.

CMon Neil trade deadline is around the corner. Grow some balls already!

This is what the Hoopshype front page loots like....Taj Gibson's name has been connected to the Raptors, Suns, Pistons and Blazers lately, according to Sporting News

Two weeks before the deadline is an eternity. Way to early to jump the gun.

Kevin Martin dropped 30 in a win for Minny last night. He plays no D but he can be relied upon for 15-20 mpg as a wing scorer. We need that. Looking at his gamelog minutes since his injury (29, 30, 37, 39, 40), it appears obvious that Minny is showcasing him.

Oddly enough, the two bottom dwellers in our division have the guys I covet: KMart, Thad Young, Arron Afflalo, and Wilson Chandler. I prefer either of the Minny guys over the Den ones.

If both Freeland and Lopez are healthy, Kaman is (IMO) expendable. A Kaman/TRob/+ for Martin/Young deal would make us a very dangerous playoff team.
