At present, I think its the worst ownership in the NBA.
But if they hire the right new GM, maybe second worst?

Um, they're not under investigation for racist comments and sexism in the work place, like the Suns, nor are they going on stretch of 9 straight years of missing the playoffs like the kings, nor are they James Dolan...

I considered all that but, since Pauls passing they've nothing more than a cash cow for the Vulcans and if these personnel complaints about Neil never surfaced he's still be in total control.
For me when they blatantly removed Mike & Mike the way they did, and have screwed around with Blazer Broadcast's and really never communicate directly with the Portland fans, has soured me on them. At least Paul would communicate occasionally with Portlanders about the team.
Just not a big fan of the centralized operation from Seattle. The Suns owner is I believe part owner and being pressured to divest from what Ive heard on the radio?

ah, you're a Mike & Mike homer.

Which was done under Paul Allen.

Again, not even remotely the worst ownership group in the NBA. Waited too long to can Stotts and Olshey. Yeah. missed out on some drafts? Sure. But so have the majority of ownership groups.

yeah even the “good” ownerships have their own issues. For example, the Mavs. We have it pretty good, relatively speaking, if our main issue is how they handled the firing of the broadcast team lol. I’d also rather have an ownership group stick with a guy too long than one have turnover anytime adversity hits. That’s not a winning formula either.

How r u sir?
I have endless avatar options being a homer.
I'm still upright! covid era lockdown brought me a Martin guitar and my Beatles bucketlist Epiphone Casino....got a looper pedal and it's like having friends to play with! Good to see you around my friend!

Never liked him from day 1, used to get bashed in this forum for it too. Things have changed.

The worst GM in Blazer history.

Dame’s prime won’t survive getting out of his mess that he left behind.
I lost hope having Neil at the helm years ago, but the worst GM in Blazer history was easily John Nash. At least Soapy has some positive stuff to point to. Every single move Nash made was fail.

He would answer emails from fans. Someone told me he did and I was a bit sceptical but I emailed him and holy shit, he did.

I also factored in years — Olshey kept this team on a treadmill for an entire decade :goth:

Nash’s reign of terror only lasted 3 seasons.

The best team he built was the year the Blazers went to the WCF. That team had shooters, including Seth Curry. Since then, he filled the bench with FA brickers. You can NEVER, have enough shooters.

I was amazed he was doing that, but not in a good way. How desperate for good PR was he? Maybe he'd have made better decisions if he'd focused on his job/team instead of incessantly throwing a dog a bone?

"We don't need Chris Paul, we've got Sebastian Telfair!" That was his worst of the worst but all his moves were stunningly stupid at the time & look even worse in retrospect. SAR and Zack sharing the frontcourt, what could go wrong? Worst Blazer GM ever.

I KNOW!

Ok but seriously, I do appreciate that we’re never gonna have to watch another Olshey press conference again, or hear him talk to Brooke about how silent the phones were at the fucking trade deadline.
