Buchanan landed on Lillard, who was the reason 1a we got into the playoffs in the first place, and the main reason we got out of the first round.

olshey was enamored with lillard before he was even signed as GM. he was at several Weber st. games and supposedly came away very impressed, lliard was viewed as special. his predraft workout and dinner interview sealed the deal for allen and olshey. buchanon didn't discover lillard in some sort of vacuum. he was high on other draft boards as well.
