Masai: “The fans are always on my mind, but they don’t have the information that we have and that sometimes makes it hard. If we didn’t do anything, I think everybody would by (mad). ‘It’s the same team ... will only lose in the playoffs again would be the narrative.’”

vs.

Neil: "But this idea that (we need) sweeping changes. Where were all these people that wanted sweeping changes 10 days ago? Where were they? They were the ones bouncing off the walls in the Moda Center when we got the third seed for the first time since 1999-00... Relative to people back in December who were complaining that we weren't going to make the playoffs and we were in purgatory because we weren't going to make the playoffs and we weren't going to pick high enough. Right? That was the rallying cry. Then it was, 'Oh my God. They're going to blow the third seed because they're going to lose all these games. They're not even going to get home court advantage.' They overreacted to that.”

Wash, rinse, repeat... kind of like Neil! And I’m tired of Neil’s shit! Except I’ve had to deal with his bull shit for years vs a couple months of my posts.

You're showing your hand by praising Masai. You just don't know it.

Over and over again.

For threads like this, I suppose. I used to play it at Dots Cafe at 2:20 am to get people to settle their tabs and get the fuck out so I could close.
I played it for about 30 seconds because I didn't believe that it was 10 hours of it and now it's stuck in my head. Over and over and over again.

I do like that the background music changes like the song is playing normal but his voice is stuck on that part.

It's soooooo stupid, but actually quite clever.

You used to work at Dot's? Me and my wife used to go there often a while back. Always liked grabbing dinner there

It was my friendly neighborhood bar anyways and had an opportunity to serve and bartend there. Those were probably the most fun years of my life. Not bad for meeting girls either......

A gm is not there to coddle it’s fan base.

Really?? You will be gone in two month???

I need to get this on my calendar so I know when this place will become fun again.

Hahahahahahahahhahaha

@Gronk Brady not one comment to your op was based on the topic of your op. I hope this educates you on something...however your past tells me this will also fly right over your head.

I kind of disagree with this. The GM while not there to come cuddle with us and tell us everything will be ok, does need to inspire the fans to keep tuning in, buying merch, showing up to games etc. Yes the NBA's bottom line is affected by business partners, tv ratings, and all that but the trickle down is to the consumer. It is BAD business to have a GM of your business, be arrogant, condescending, and like the customer really doesn't matter. The General Manager of a business is both responsible for the product and keeping customers coming back.
Yes ultimately we will continue to buy in as long as they're winning and ultimately putting out a winner is the most "important" part of his job, but public relations is also part of his job. If it wasn't part of his job, he wouldn't find microphones in his face so often.
Edit: This is a more general comment than strictly about NO in case that wasn't clear.

There is a big difference between coddling and respecting... just because you like getting shit on by Neil does not make it right. And I will be gone when that used car salesman actually makes a trade to improve this team.

Fair enough. I agree with that for the most part.

I think though that this city permeates negativity and glass half empty mentality. It’s why we have been near the top of suicides per capita year after year. I think this city wide vibe envelopes the media, that then target NO and he isn’t from here. He is like, “go cry a fucking river damn millennial and snowflakes.”
Im not sayin he is right, but I am saying I can understand his tones times.
