Nets @ Blazers Gamethread (Merged)

Be a part of something great, join today!

For those from earlier tonight, Zach and Miri may have made a porno, but I added about 5 honey-duze to the list by watching the rest of this game tonight. :biglaugh:

Man, I hate this freezing shit! The screen froze with the ball half way to the basket. I'm trying to judge it thinking that looks like it's going to go in.

Roy was 3-15 going into the 4th and will probably end the game 5-6 in the 4th plus a bunch of free throws. Clutch.

Alright, two FTs and I'll have our score perfect on my prediction and one off on the Nets score.

Flargant! Great, game over!

No play on the ball, but should have been a Flagrant II IMO. No need for that foul, no play on the ball, and he wrapped up Blake by the shoulders.

Man, why didn't they just let the clock run out! :(

Well, it seems like Roy went into the "I am not going to lose" mode, as Simmons describes it.

Roy did do well considering how bad he shot most of the nite.

Classic example of a good team (stars) bearing down when they have to.

Wish they'd take care of business earlier though!

At least we are going on the road trip on a up note. 3-1 during this home stand, not to bad.

People casually checking the scoreboard may think Portland had a convincing win over NJ, but they controlled the game most of the way. Once again, the Blazers follow their same old story book pattern. Come out with no energy, turn it on in the 4th.

:deadhorse: Yet another example of why we need a good vet who has "been there", and understands the little things it takes to win. Oh well.......

So who exactly did you have in mind? All the vet SF guys we wanted continue to lose. A Vet PG I can buy into. But which one? He has to run a team and hit the open outside shot.

The guy I wanted was Andre Miller. Not a great shooter, but a solid, experienced playmaker. At one point, he was supposedly on the market for an expiring contract and a future draft pick. True story? Who knows. :dunno:
