Despite having two salary cap exceptions at their disposal ($3.7M exception from the Vince Carter deal) Nets president Rod Thorn said he will not necessarily shop for a power forward, and that the team is committed to Yi Jianlian as a starter.
"We're constantly on the lookout to see what is available, but as of right now, certainly Yi is the guy there to start," Thorn told The Star-Ledger. "I think he's going to be fine."
The Record mentioned free agent Brandon Bass from Dallas and Houston's Carl Landry as possible targets for the Nets.
