Timerwolves could be Title contenders next season...

Don't laugh...this might happen

Rumour has it Gary Payton wants to play for the wolves and team up with KG..he has stated he is very interested in joining them

Ricky Davis wants out of the cavs and the managment want to trade him to free up room for lebron...so he could be traded to the wolves were he was set to go last year before cavs matched the wolves offer for him

Jalen Rose for Terrell Brandon's contract..could very well happen..bulls could use the cap and rose would be on a good team....

wolves starting 5 mext season could be

PG Gary Payton
SG Ricky Davis
SF Jalen Rose
PF Kevin Garnett
C Mark Jackson

that is one hell of a team..if KG ever gets double teamed..he can just kick it out to GP,davis or rose..all 20 point scorers with the teams they are on...

thats my thoughts on this matter...
 
Thats if Kevin Garnett doesnt leave the t'wovles. which I thin will probably happen.
 
He won't if they get rose..as the bulls is the only team he could go to by trade...and besides payton will only sign because of KG..as they are best of friends

Obviously I hope everything you said happens but I'm not getting my hopes up too much yet.

GP and KG are tight and GP has said the Wolves are his #1 choice but will he play for the $4.5 Million Exemption because that's all we have to offer?

Davis will probably be traded because of Lebron but all we have to offer is Wally and I'm not sure the Cavs want him.

The Rose trade is very plausible and I'm hpoing it goes down because KG would finally have a true 2nd scoring option on his team.

Also I'm not sure if Rasho will be resigned. I think he will continue to improve but he is very soft and will need to improve that part of his game if he's going to be a top-tier center.

Afford what? payton? they can offer the 4.5 or 6 million for like 4 years or something like that...the others wont' be a problem as they will go by trade of course..

And GP likely will go to wolves...he is has said wolves are his 1st option along with bucks...and i highly doubt KG goes anywhere now....bulls will keep their core of players.
 
If all that happens....the whole NBA would change for the best....the T'Wolves would be the team to beat but Hudson will ride the pine but I hope not...
 
Would there be enough basketballs to go around? I know KG wouldn't have a problem, but Rose and Davis most definately will have a problem if they don't get as many touches as they think they should. They would be like the Blazers, just ready to combust at any time.
 
rose wouldn't have a problem. he's used to feeding the ball inside to eddy & tyson. he knows his roles. it doesn't matter though, he won't end up in minnesota
 
Knows his role by passing it inside to Tyson and Eddy? Those guys hardly got any touches so how can he be used to it? When they had big games they got a lot of touches and that didn't happen a whole lot.
 
Bulls vs Sixers. Eddy is 14-16. Bulls vs Nets. Eddy is 9-13. Bulls vs. Sonics. Eddy is 12-16. Jalen is 0-4. Seems like a decent amount of touches to me. Jalen has scored a lot when the Bulls needed him. Especially in the 4th quarter, when younger, less experienced players falter.
 
You just basically restated the points I made. Curry and Chandler had big games when they got lots of touches, and that didn't happen very often which means that Jalen didn't resort to throwing the ball down to them as much as you made it seem like.
 
Very true,curry and chandler didn't get enough touches in most games this year..the time when they finally did score alot and make an impact was when the knew they couldn't make the playoffs and rested rose more and he took less shots.Which meant better performances by the curry,chandler and crawford.

Okay I will give you the benifit of doubt on this one, Gary Payton may settle for the mid level exception to play for the Wolves, but I question why he would do this when teams closer to a title such as the Lakers are also offering him their full MLE.

I also don't believe that Ricky Davis will be in one of those new Cav's uniforms at the start of the season, but I also don't see him in Minnesota. a Wally Szczerbiak for Ricky Davis trade doesn't work under the cap, and both players are near impossible to trade as Ricky is a BYC player and Wally has a trade kicker on his contract.

A straight up Rose for Brandon trade doesn't work under the salary cap, the only way I was able to make it work was to throw in Troy Hudsen, with the Bulls already having a log jam at point guard with Jay Williams and Jamal Crawford I seriously doubt they will take on another point guard, even if they are getting some help getting under the cap.

about as likely as the Cav's winning the NBA title next year.

The kid above me has a solid legit point . . . and lets remember its the T'Wolves . . . they make pety, unnoticable trades . . . (i know, die hard Twolves fan {KG fan first})

I can see em signing GP and actually the Wolves love Ricky (tried to sign him last season but the Cavs matched their offer) . . .

. . . but all in one off season is doubtful

towards the end of the season, when these players emerged, Cartwright made sure that they got the ball early in the game. Eddy didn't get as many touches early because he couldn't catch the frickin ball. Tyson's hands were more reliable, but he still had trouble scoring. They both learned how to use their bodies towards the end of the season.
 
The following from the Miami Herald:

"While the process of re-signing O'Neal has officially begun, so have free agent negotiations around the league, and it appears inevitable that guard Keyon Dooling will sign elsewhere.

Nets head coach Lawrence Frank flew to Miami to meet with Dooling on Friday, and the team is interested in signing him as a combo guard to play behind and beside Jason Kidd. The Heat, meanwhile, has accepted that Dooling will sign elsewhere and won't pursue the guard who averaged 5.2 points and 1.8 assists in 74 regular-season games last season."

Dooling was a great spark off the bench for the Heat and should fit in well into the Nets system. I wish he would of stayed with the Heat.

First they draft a SG, now they are after Dooling, a SG off of the bench.
 
Well, there has been some talk of trading Jefferson and some throw ins for KG, so this might be a sign???
 
NO, Keyon Dooling can play PG. So he is going to play backup PG mostly if he signs with us, behind Jason Kidd. Dooling is only 25 and can shoot the ball good. He should be a huge upgrade at the backup Pg position, and could fill in for Kidd when he is tired!!

I would like to see Keyon come to the Nets!
 
NJ needs to be looking for height, first and foremost...they should be targeting Swift, and then Abdur-Rahim and then Marshall...they have plenty of guards/swingmen with Carter/Jefferson/Wright...Jacque Vaughn is a capable backup to play 10-12 minutes a game...
 
ya they need to save the money to sign stromile swift or other great big free agents than signing dooling which they dont need
 
hmm he would be a great backup but what about jay williams. i thought they wanted him too. wow this season nets are looking to try to get all diferent kinds of players unlike last offseason
 
He"s a good bench player and they need bench points if they get him.. that would be pretty good for the nets
