No wonder this board is dead . . . the Nets starting line up today was Alston, Lee, Lopez, CDR, Yi.

Worst starting line up in the NBA?

By far the worst. Let the John Wall series begin!

Re: Nets 0-4

Well actually I was looking at the Sac boxscore tonight and think they beat out the Nets for worst starting line up (especially when hariis comes back).

Kings started tonight: T. Evan, K. Martin, S. May, J. Thompson, D. Mason. OUCH

That's another good one, but at least Martin is an all-star caliber player capable of putting up 25 PPG. As of now - this lineup without Harris - the Nets take it.

Any lineup with Yi in it is automatically in contention for worst lineup in the league.

Re: Nets 0-4

Lopez, Lee, and CDR are pretty good but this team lacks a real PF to compliment Lopez and they really need Harris back.

Re: Nets 0-4

By far? As if the Knicks starting lineup is much better.
Our lineups have changed a bit this season, but any of our past lineups are way better than the Nets. We have Gallo, who might be the NBA's best 3-point shooter (he is as of now); Lee is solid as usual. Harrington is balling thus far and has proven to be clutch. Hughes is playing well and playing excellent D. Duhon has struggled, but he's distributed the ball well. Chandler has also struggled shooting too. But what also makes the lineup superior is everyone's versatility and ability to create for each other.

The only real solid player in your lineup is Lopez. Without Harris, the Nets have no scorers as evidenced in the 68 points scored in their loss to the Bobcats.

Tell me how the Knicks lineup isn't much better.

Hi Knicks fan, meet CDR....I thought you would of noticed him considering he has been scoring all preseason (mainly against NYK) and been pretty efficient thus far at it.

I would like to contend that the T-Wolves, with K Love out, are sporting the worst starting lineups. Tonight it was: Flynn, Brewer, Gomes, Pecherov and Jefferson.

I really like some of the nets younger wing players and I think they will be a force next year if Yi can continue to develop or they get a better PF.

By the way J_Ray mentioned this forum and I thought I'd join; I went to register and it said my e-mail address was already in use. So I re-activate my account and realize I've been a member since 2003. I haven't posted since then, but it was fun to see my old post(s). Did this forum used to go by a different name?

And yes I am a raptor's fan but I might prefer to change my username if I can.

P.S. I remember that SLAM cover from back in the day, but I'm having trouble remembering the name of that Center in the picture.

How did the Nets only manage to score 7 points in the 3rd quarter last night? SEVEN POINTS!

You might have been a member of JustBBall before?

Welcome to the site there's a good Raptor community here. Enjoy.

Re: Nets 0-4

I actually disagreed with the "by far" part. It's not as bad as you're insinuating.

I'm depressed.

Yi is now out indefinitely.....Nets win hands down now :)

Boone (assuming he gets the starting nod) is better than Yi, so they actually improve their lineup.

Sean Williams has been playing instead of Boone lately I believe...I could be wrong though.

Re: Update ... Nets 0-7

Nets are tanking early to get more talent for the LeBron James pitch.

Re: Update ... Nets 0-7

the nets could be looking at a pretty huge turnaround next season. they have harris, a solid center in lopez, and solid roleplaying wing guys. with the cap space and high draft pick they'll have, the nets could realistically be looking to add a duo like greg monre/joe johnson or evan turner/chris bosh to the team in the offseason.

Cause free agents are lining up to sign with a team that has to give away tickets?

I hope this team goes 0-82.

Re: Update ... Nets 0-8

Another game, another loss. Good news is Devin Harris might return ahead of schedule.

Re: Update ... Nets 0-8

I wonder what the Nets would do if they landed the first pick in the draft. Could a backcourt of Wall and Harris work? Maybe they draft him as trade bait and trade for someone who can attract LeBron?

Re: Update ... Nets 0-9

Why not draft Wall, if you get LBJ, then at all times, you have a gamechanger on the court

Re: Update ... Nets 0-11

Nets lost their 11th straight game last night and Frank is on the hot seat.

The Nets have yet to win a game this season, as they're off to an 0-11 start. And when a team gets off to such a start, you usually start wondering if the coach is going to last much longer.

So how secure is Lawrence Frank's job right now? Well, The Nets have been injury plagued this season as Devin Harris, Yi Jianlian, Chris Douglas-Roberts (swine flu), Courtney Lee, Jarvis Hayes and Keyon Dooling have all missed time. And according to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, Frank's job is safe for now due to his team not being at full strength.

"Sources indicate that Nets president Rod Thorn won't make any decisions on Lawrence Frank until the team gets back to full -- or close to full -- health," he writes. "Thorn has stood behind Frank for this long, so he's not going to push him out at a time when his best player, Devin Harris, is injured ... he will be coaching for his job once the Nets get back to full strength."

Re: Update ... Nets 0-11

His job should be safe, what the hell can he do with a crap roster when healthy, and add in all the good players are injured.

Re: Update ... Nets 0-11

Frank can't do more with this team. He's a good coach but his time with the Nets is at an end.
