actually thats Live that updates daily according to stats....

2k8 will just update accordingly lets say Carter goes on a rampage for a week or two expect a jump in ratings... i dont agree with all of the overall ratings but the individual ratings looks good to me..(shot close, rebounds etc)

can't wait, pre-orderd it today actually. traded in about 4 ps3 games and got a measly $26!?

who's that cowboy doing commentary? he has kenny smith's exact lines, they really need a new scriptwriter.
 
Just got this today. Nets are not bad. I played as Nets vs Knicks (cpu), Yi had 28 points and Swat had 4 blocks. Carter had a break away dunk. Lopez got some nice rebounds as starting center.

Also, played 5v5 online. When it's not laggy, it's a ton of fun. Nothing serious, just testing it out.

best basketball game hands down...

started my association...3 games in here are some stats :)

first game against the wizards...it was pretty much a great defensive effort by the nets, carter being dominant and arenas not making anything...

Carter 42 pts (18-39fg) 10ast
Harris 20pts 7 reb 15ast
Yi 14pts 6 reb 3blks
Swat 10pts 9 reb 5 stl 4 blks :D
Lopez 10pts 6 reb 2 blks

bench Dooling 8pts in 8 mins

Arenas had 39pts...14-39fg...3-13 3's
Butler 20pts
Stevenson 14pts

then i did two trades to help improve the team now... and yes Marbury and Ben Gordon are on the block around the nba

but i got...Sheed' in exchange for Simmons, Hassell and the 09 1st rounder.. i figured i had enough young talent so i wanted some more vets to help get in a win now mode..
wasnt dont there...

traded Swift, Ager and the 09 2nd rounder for Mike Miller

which moved Swat and Lopez to the bench as the 6th and 7th men..
Harris,Miller,Carter,Yi,Sheed

next game killed the Warriors...

and then the suns murdered me...the nets still dont defend the 3pt line!!
Nash 3-7, Barnes 7-13 and Bell 8-13...Bell couldnt miss going 20-28 and had 49pts...

but ya im enjoying this game!

Sounds cool. The trades are incredibly unrealistic though.
 
Just finished destroying the Pacers in an exhibition game (I played on a lower skill level, just so I can get used to the controls). Carter had 36 points, Harris had 8 points, 10 assists...lopez with 7 rebounds...williams had 6 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks.

Seems really fun so far. The AI is a lot better then in previous years
 
VC is a beast. He might not be a 90, but I still own with him.
 
I just got the game and I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problems with the game that I am. The game is fun overall but theirs two problems right now killing me.

1.) When I play with the 2K Camera angel from the time the ball is inbounded till when I get across mid court the game runs rather slow. It kind of chugs along then when I get to mid court it runs smooth. I dont know if its just my game or a problem with the software itself.

2.) I have yet to be able to get online. I dont see any lobbies, so when I attempt a quick match it says can't connect refer to 2k Sports FAQ etc etc.

Just wondering if anyone else is having these problems. Overall Id give the game an 8.0

I play with the default camera angle and didn't notice much slowing down. The game did slow down in between quarters when it zoom out to the crowd.

I played online on a 5v5 10 human game. I was on D. Williams from the Jazz the entire game. That was really different and immersive. Make sure you're using the 1st player controller with the right gamer tag or you can't log in 2k sports.
 
haha wow...just played the pistons...Vince Carter injured in the 2nd quarter of diving to try and save a ball..separated shoulder out 3 weeks...end of the 3rd Harris takes a charge from Billups and is injured...bruised sternum can play but isnt expected to be 100% for 1-2 weeks... :(

Played the game today, its probably the best 2K game out yet. I noticed that slowing down with the camera thing hopefully they get that fixed.

If anybody wants to get rocked hit me up on XBL a1rp1n0y12 ( that is when i get my 360 back from repairs.)
 
i have 30 mins till i head home from work and play this game... i cant wait!!!
 
i have associations in 2k8 and i usually play 7 min quarters with my brothers... i am the nets, my brothers are the knicks and the suns!

anybody else play with 7 mins?

ya the game is suppose to be more SIM... so the gameplay has slowed down... like you can just trap and get an automatic turnover like 2k8... its hard to cheat on defense supposedly... i cant wait, ill update u guys once im done playin ^^
 
This game is coming in the mail tomorrow! (Thank you Amazon Prime!)

What's everyone's gamertag? I've played the demo and loved it, this may be the first time I play in leagues and such on Xbox Live. The 5v5 thing sounds really fun.

You log on 2k sports and you can play a game with 10 human players. You play as one position the entire game. I was playing as Deron Willams. When it's not laggy, it's frantic and fun.

I also play 7 or 8 minute quarters in Association to get the numbers close to sim numbers.

Actually they say this years version is faster then usual. But thats not what im talking about, the issue isn't the Sim Like speed. It's like the game for 5 seconds begins to chug, then picks up again once I cross mid court. I found out on other forums its an issue with the game using the 2k camera angle. Hopefully they send out a patch for it or something cause its the only camera I like to use.

where's ryan anderson, mo ager, and hassel? they weren't on my roster when I was trying to make subs...
 
?? they are all in the game...i do know that hassell and ager are on the reserve list though;.

OMG, I played this game all night last night. I agree, there is a lag with the 2k camera that's not just before you cross midcourt, it happens a little bit throughout the game. The graphics, however, are amazing, and the controls are very in depth. I'm still trying to get a handle on posting up because you can do almost every post move ever besides Kareem's sky hook. So far, for me, Yi has been a terrific low post scorer from the block but cannot shoot, which I think is a little unrealistic and insanely frustrating. Also, the nets have so many mid-70s players that I don't know how to get everyone into the game.

Also, in my association, I traded Swift, Ager, and Hassell for Darko and Javaris Crittenton but that's just to get less players on my roster and so I can trade both of them, haha.
