Agree. I cant see Deron wanting to stay there. Him and Lopez are an 8th seed in the East.
nets must be gambling new CBA will include franchise tag or something

Can't opt out until summer 2012 if read it right. So NJ has a year and a half to build around him to convince him to stay . . . or trade him back to the west (Blazers).![]()
Well I for one am glad the Blazers aren't jumping into the Utah Denver rebuilding pool this trade deadline.
Harris isn't a franchise-maker. I'm fine with Miller through this season and exercising his option. We can trade him next year.
I wonder what book our GM is enjoying today? I wonder if he is poolside, or curled up in front of the fire?
How do you, in your infinite wisdom, think our GM could/should have been involved here?

We already leapfrogged Denver and Utah, but are still looking up at OKC, LA, Dallas and San Antonio. This team seemingly has no strategy to move up in the standing other than hoping every team in the West rebuilds. Not gonna happen.
Blazers should have beaten Utah to the punch and offered Deron Williams to NJ before Utah did. Heck we could have had Harris AND Favors
Nets went from Andre Miller to Deron Williams. Awesome.
Now if Lopez could step his game up, I'm sure free agents would be interested in teaming up with him and Deron.
Not at all. I thought Andre for Harris was our best potential trade option. Now it's off the table.
To be honest, in the AM situation you were to keep Favors. Sure looks like a good thing now - but if he harnesses his talent in years to come - this might come to bite you in the rear.
So the Blazers should have offered Deron Williams to New Jersey. I don't believe I've ever seen that tactic employed before.
The west's talent keeps on getting diluted.
Lopez is doing backflips. He will be fed like a goose bred for foie gras. I would actually prefer Williams to Paul if I had to choose. Deron is amazing.
