Wow.
Not only are you ignorant, but you're petty as well. Lazy too.
But I have some time to kill and the Nets won tonight. Let me start by saying, if you make it college (and I pray to God you don't got my alma mater, Cornell), take a sociology class. Learn about society.
Being gay in today's society is not the same as being black. Apples and orange comparison. Not even close. On one hand, being black, Asian, Hispanic, etc is SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE. On the other hand, being a homosexual is NOT SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE. And while all minorities are still feeling effects of racism, something in my opinion that will last forever, it is generally thought down upon in American culture. However, it's not the same for sexual orientation. People who protest gay marriages, gay adoptions, are still SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE. Those people won't be critcized in society as much as outright racists. It's ok to hate gays, not ok to hate blacks, Asians, Hispanics, Arabics. Hell, there are government institutions that act against homosexuals and transgenders. Do you see the same for race? Nope. So you're far off.
As for your Nets comment, no news has been further made, but let me tell you how I know an NBA player would be discriminated. You would've known this if you read my other post, which you ignored. Here are opinions of NBA players who are IN THE LOCKER:
"You know what Jackie Robinson went through?" asked Malik Rose of the New York Knicks, referring to the abuse directed toward the first black player in Major League Baseball. "<u>That would pale in comparison to what the first openly gay athlete would face.</u> Nobody would want to play with him, play against him, be in the same locker room with him.
And,
The locker-room truth, as told by Richard Jefferson of the New Jersey Nets, is that athletes shower and dress in communal spaces and that many would feel uneasy about doing so in front of a gay teammate.
The first openly gay male athlete will have to be a respected superstar, Jefferson said, likening it to Magic Johnson announcing that he had contracted the virus that causes AIDS. If there's an athlete thinking about coming out, Jefferson offered this how-to:
"You would have to approach your teammates and be like, 'Look, this is who I am. I don't like any of you. I'm not trying to pick up on any of you,' " he said. <u>"Would it make people feel uncomfortable? Of course it would."</u>
One by said Richard Jefferson. I underlined the sentences that prove to you that discrimination would appear.
So, sit back son, and realize this:
<u>SEXUAL ORIENTATION IS NOT THE SAME AS RACE. </u>
Thank you and try again. I'd put up your little gif, but realize I'm too old to play the same games as little children.
