Not sure I like it. It looks like a small avatar for a desktop icon, blown up and distorted.

Also looks like it is falling over.

It's basically an update of this logo that was only used as the primary for one season 02/03. Unslanted the letters and removed the edge color, then cleaned up the pinwheel itself. I like the new logo a ton.

that really dark grey would be so freaking dope for a uniform color instead of pure black.

I had low expectations. Every change since the original pinwheel with the 70s font has been for the worse. This one at least stops the bleeding.

So now they go with the 15% grey for home uniforms and the 90% for road uniforms letting the primary colors pop against them. Boom.

Since the Wordmark is so simple I feel like the emphasis will be on the pinwheel on the uniforms. Super curious to see how secondary Logos and what not come from this.

Those new standard home and road uniforms with the updated logo will be released in “late summer” or after they leak, whichever comes first. The changes associated with the new uniforms will be more much more noticeable than the changes to the logo.

“With the conversion to Nike, we will introduce small changes to our primary home and road uniforms, as well as unveil some exciting new alternate uniforms unlike any ever worn by the Trail Blazers that were also fan inspired,” said Dewayne Hankins, the team's Chief Marketing Officer. “Based on the fan feedback we received about uniforms and having the talented ideation of the renowned design staff of Nike, we're seizing the opportunity to add contemporary touches to our classic on-court look and push the creative limits with some alternate versions.”

It's an improvement over the current pewter tilt and taper that's for sure.

It would have been even better if the lines weren't boxed in on both ends.

I always disliked that the ends of the pinwheel were pointy. I'm happy that they're block now.

After looking at it on my computer vs my phone, I think my biggest complaint is that the lines inside the pinwheel don't end. Like it's a bunch of mazes that connect.

make each segment an individual one, and it looks a lot better. If you watch the animated gif, it's the last animated change before the final. If they stopped one before that, it's really nice.

Also, the new one looks skinnier and sleeker than the 2017 version. Like, the 2017 version lost some weight.

I like that the pieces are tied together...I look at the red and white as offense and defense...the new border gives it more of a team look than individual look..I like it...just glad they kept the pinwheel.
