Funny stuff. :) Dude is even making the transition so super star look easy.

You know you made it when Rachel Nichols is in your ad. Nice.

It's official, he wants to be traded to the Warriors. =[

The yawn  at the end on the 'Bust' :bwpopcorn: side is hilarious.

Why doesn't he say PORTLAND?! :MARIS61:

I bet in another year or two he'll be more famous than Kingspeed.

didn't find the commercial that funny. Think they forced it a bit to much.

I thought it was pretty good. He's going to bump Blake Griffin's lame adds if he keeps this up. Damian has a great agent. Adidas seems to be really behind him.

He covered it with Oregon.

Damnit, I suck at insinuating he's going to leave because he didn't say Portland. i don't have the chops for it like dem twitter folk. Or Canzano.

I believe Adidas may have captured 'lightning in a bottle' with Dame. He has the complete package: great personality, interesting personal story, media savvy, top notch basketball skills, and he just seems like he belongs on camera!

One thing I hate about how advertising is these days... is you really only saw the shoe for one second in the whole spot.

Agreed. Another reason he shoulda gone with the swoosh. And they don't make (as many) ugly shoes. I do dig my Crazy Quicks though. One of the best bball kicks I've ever had.

Adidas is the way to go... he has much more of a chance of getting recognized, instead of just "being another" at Nike. Dame is smart.

Maybe this would have been better and made some around here like it?

Just another like Rose, Wall, Lin, Teague, Rubio, Conley, Dragic? If he truly wanted to differentiate himself, he shoulda gone with under armor (like Curry or Jennings)

We all know Dame went to the stripes because of the money they offered him-- nothing else, and nothing really wrong with that. Just their ads aren't as good as wieden kennedy coulda made for him.

I gueess we differ. I don't like Nike or their commercials. So, there's that. lol.

And lets put it this way, he must have been told they were going to pimp him hard because I never knew Lin, Teague, Rubio, Conley, or anybody but wall and Rose were on Adidas. That says more to me, IMO.

But again, we'll agree to disagree. I know partially it had to do with the money, I mean, damn, $100 mil... but I think he knew that they would give him the biggest bump too...

Brand new commercial released today. I like Dame's better.

Really, only Wall or Rose belong with Dame in terms of marketability on that list. Lin is popular with the Asian community, but overall he's not someone you're going to use for an international campaign.

Teague, Rubio, and Conley? Definitely not.

Dragic is a dammed fine player, but he's not marketable. The guy has about as much personality as a brick wall. Even Rose really isn't very personable. He has always struck me as very closed off and private. Dame has the kind of personality and knack for social interaction that can make someone a star outside of the game of basketball. He uses twitter all the time, he interacts with the fans, and he is outgoing. I think Adidas might put him ahead of Rose in terms of who they think is #1 on their players, but he needs to keep backing it up on the court.

I agree with all this, but at the time when they initially signed their contracts, they were all in a similar boat. Only guys who were supposed to break out based on what adidas paid em were Rose and Rubio (both massive 10yr + deals)
