So the divisions themselves are old news, but they've named them now. And I'm not sure everyone realizes how this is going to work, so figured I'd share:

Basically we now have 4 divisions, two in each conference. Instead of splitting them 15/15 down the middle, instead we now have 14 teams in the west and 16 in the east. Top 3 in each division qualifies, and then there are two "wild cards" per conference.
Looking at the Rangers new division, on paper, we SHOULD have a shot to make the top 3 this year. Although there are several teams that could be worse or better than last year.
Should be interesting. I do think it's a little stupid to have 2 more teams in the east than west.
