Anyway, the Clippers clearly played with New Jersey tonight. But in fairness, its hard to compete with a quality team with Vince in the condition he was in, we just dont have the scorers.
Defensively, the Nets allowed the Clippers to get what ever they want, they didnt play strong defense in the tranisition, nor in the half-court against the pick & role. Cassell and Brand got their #'s way too easy. We only had one legit mis-match to go to and that was putting Kidd in the post against Sammy's D. But the matchup ended up being a wash as I expected, (they both came into the game averaging the same exact ppg against each other in their career head to head matchups), because Cassell got it all back on the other end from the perimeter. So we had no edge or matchup advantages. Especially since Ross shot the ball well and played quality D against Jefferson and Carter.
