Unfortunately Lanny thats what the polls were saying with the Dem's last candidate.
You know, standing back at glance the democrats by anointing Hillary as a shoe in win, against whoever in the general has to be one of the biggest blunders that party (my old party) has ever made.
I think O'Malley from Maryland would have beaten Trump hands down, Bernie wouldn't have beat him. If they just offered up some other candidates besides the 3 I doubt Trump would have won.
But they were more interested anointing Hillary with a position she tought she was entitled too.

Hillary got 3 Million more votes than Trump so people actually wanted Hillary.
However, there was a humongous amount of money and attention spent on smearing Hillary. Combine that with some extremely coincidental bad luck such as having Comey announce the continuation of a fruitless investigation of Hillary's e-mails and she lost in the electoral college. Even with the Republican advantage in the rural parts of the country, I think whoever is the Democratic candidate, most likely Biden, will beat Trump handily.

Believe it, please.

It'll make the election night tears that much more enjoyable.
Get ready for a night of surprises. Although, actually, I expect the outcome to be extraordinarily clear before election day.

Just like Trump won't win 2016, there was Trump-Russia collusion, etc etc etc.

just more lolz for me when he wins. if he loses, I don't care. whatevzzzzzz
You win. Trump will win the election.
There now, you've got over a year and a half to feel good.

She lost by overestimating her support in WI,MI,PA&Ohio.
Our system is based on electoral votes, right or wrong thats the rule.
My point is it seemed the party arrogantly felt she had it locked up, because she was the chosen one, and they went beyond measure to get her the nod.

Im hoping the hugger wins the democratic nomination and brings back some normal decency and becomes a uniter.

All this outrage about hugging and sniffing hair is a bunch of bs, again those preaching tolerance are in fact being in-tolerant.

I think Shultz is correct that both parties have gone way to extreme and the segment of centrist/moderates are up for grabs.

Still hoping Cuban jumps in as an independent.
Rip City

by the way I'm just now learning walk again, with the new rebuilt left leg.
Hell, I've got an artificial eye, knee, hearing aide coming, a few teeth implants, now the wife says I need a sleep study as she convinced I have SA. However, can still get Buford up!

Oh, obviously I would know the rules. I was just pointing out that the people would rather have had Hillary than Donald.
I actually tried to get a new titanium knee but the VA said no. They don't think I could tolerate that while still requiring the need for dialysis. So now, I get to spend the rest of my life being exceedingly careful with my knee.
I put up with a lot of shit from the VA.
They won't do another colonoscopy because they say I'll probably die before any cancer could set in. Damn, that means they're betting I won't live past 80. This means that I have to outside to get the medical care that I need.
They also won't do a kidney transplant because they say I've got a heart murmur. Well, I've had the murmur for decades and cardiology in the VA has tested my heart in more ways and more often than anyone you've ever known and they pronounced my heart as very strong.
Then there's my left eye they blinded in a botched operation.
Enough of that. I've got to look forward and not backward. That's another reason why I tend to be optimistic about things.

Edit:
By the way, I too like Cuban but I think he's gonna wind up supporting the Democrat whom I hope is Biden.

I always appreciate your positive outlook on things and capability to still discuss things w/o getting sideways.
Im thinking it will be Joe too.

People in 3 major States voted against Hillary rather than for Trump, that there doomed her.

We'll see when Bernie wins the primary.

There are conservatives in this very forum that would've voted for him over trump.

He would've wiped the floor with that asshat.
Im just not sure the country would have been ready for Bernie and his agenda. He may this time around make it happen?
If he can sway the segment of independents and moderates its could be interesting.
Personally, I would want Shult's & Joe to take on Trump because they could win. Just not sure the mass yet is ready for heavy democratic socialism.

Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan. I'd add Florida.

I think there is a pretty decent chance of Bernie winning the nomination, via the same route Trump took. High floor, low ceiling, lots of candidates.
Biden could win the same way. You don't need to appeal to the majority with 20+ candidates in the race - you just have to have a decent sized base.

Yeah, I like Joe. Partially, I like him because he shore up our national debt while investing in infrastructure. Infrastructure, infrastructure, infrastructure, can't stress that too much. Get people doing an honest day's work.

It's true that that's why she lost, ultimately, but it wasn't due to arrogance. It was due to a mistaken strategy, a strategy that did overestimate her support in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania (I don't think she overestimated her support in Ohio and assumed she'd win that state) and left her vulnerable when Trump overperformed in those specific states. She tried to broaden the Democratic coalition (much the way Obama did in 2008, winning North Carolina, Indiana and Iowa) and thus campaigned in states trending purple, like Arizona, Georgia and Texas. Had she not narrowly lost Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, it would have been a beneficial long-term strategy for the Democrats--expanding a coalition is good thing for a party. Had she realized how tight those three states were, she likely would have played more defense there.

I don't think Shultz is correct about much of anything. He's just trying to justify his ego trip.

Biden is (like him or not) a very moderate, establishment guy. Not at all a radical. Right now Biden is on top of the polls.
Doesn't that suggest that maybe Schultz is full of shiltz?

I think Joe would do better than Bernie as I don't see the heartland and south totally sold on Democratic socialism.

All of these parties need to start running some young, qualified candidates without the baggage DC has been mucked up in for decades. Hopefully someone who is energetic and needs a job. Let the Trumps, Bernies and Biden's go play golf and do the talk show circuit..that's right...blow it up, start from scratch..maybe elect someone unmarried for a change...that would be radical in itself...I'm single, I can play around all I want! Wouldn't that change the spin a bit? Yeah...let's start over and build something to be proud of! Make America have common sense again!
