Same here. You and I must have wanted new unis for about the same amount of time. A LONG time. When they added the silver stripe I was like:

to be honest, I like certain aspects of the current uniforms. it started that I liked how it was simple and consistent. But now it's that it is the uniform of the team I like.

I really wish they'd go to the 1st uniforms, because they're simple and they don't have the stripes. I do like the change of the stripes, but I kind of wish they'd just get rid of them all together.

For as long as I remember, I wanted the team to return to the red uniforms, probably since the year they changed them back in what..84? 85?

I don't hold the 78-90 uniforms in high regard and the current crop of uniforms aren't much different imho.

I don't want to change colors or the logo, but the uniforms should be simple. Maybe not the baseball styled swoop that the first uniforms had, but simpler, cleaner and timeless.

Certain uniforms are timeless. Boston, LA and Chicagos.

Others are really dated: Clippers

Some are close, Portlands is one of those teams. It's pretty much unchanged (outside of font really) since 78.

Those unis are only timeless because each team won a bunch of titles. But IMHO LA's have always sucked (cept for the baby blue ones from way back)
and Boston's are really just OK. I like Chicago's because they are my fave colors (red has always been my favorite color).

IMHO these are the best Unis in the NBA:

the blue Laker uniforms from their first 10 years in LA (or however many years it was) are their best.

As for Memphis' uniforms, agreed. they are nice, although the font seems to be 1980's Omni
