pre spanish new world history has been an unknown other than the fossil records and recordings of the conquistadors and the accompanying priests.till recently it has been accepted that the americas' idigeous peoples had no written record, only the oral histories and therefore their stories have been lost to time. this article about the incas of peru gives hope that some of it may be recovered if the codes can be broken.
