Any chance the Knicks will eventually make offers for Lillard?

They have all their own picks, plus 2024-25 from Dallas and 2025 from Milwaukee.

I watched. Painful. He kept mentioning 3 or 4 picks. SAS knows Miami only has 3 so he doesn't want to top them. Just offer better talent.

Honestly- I think Miami can create a better offer than what you are showing here.

Besides- there is an obvious fit with Miami. Knicks have Randle - and all their other good players are guards

I don't think a Lillard/Brunson back court would be maximizing either of those guy's potential.
True Dat. I think the ideal trade from New York's pov would be Brunson and picks for Dame. So we'd be in the same situation as we are with Miami in needing a third team thats interested in the other team's best asset. But from the perspective of wanting Dame to go anywhere but Miami I'd be willing to work with New York to try to find that third team to trade Brunson to.

But even that isn't a great deal for them. How much of an upgrade is Dame compared to Brunson?

Brunson: PPG 24.0 RPG 3.5 APG 6.2 PIE 13.8
Dame: PPG 32.2 RPG 4.8 APG 7.3 PIE 17.3

Yeah, quite a bit I guess. Is a lineup of Dame, RJ, Hart, Randell and Robinson a contender? It's better than any post LaMarcus Blazer team he was on, but not by much.

Maybe if the Heat can't get Dame, they'd settle for Brunson as a consolation prize?

Knicks won't trade Brunson - he's probably their favorite player since Patrick Ewing.

Basketball wise I don't know a Dame/Brunson duo makes the best sense but the Knicks have done a lot of odd moves with Dolan as the owner and always seem to prioritize scorers. They have plenty of picks unlike Miami/Philly/LA teams/etc.
