He's a young, 5-9 rookie learning from one of the most demanding coaches the NBA has known. He's playing inconsistent, but I don't doubt his ability to play. Once he becomes a sophomore, I think he will be much more improved.
As for the game, what can I say, but Kobe? There are only a handful of players in the NBA with his type of talent. When someone like Kobe gets hot, there's nothing you can do. I am disappointed by the loss, but there are many great things that took place during our loss. The play of the rookies were impressive, especially our 8th overall pick, Channing Frye, has been one of the many positives. He?s been scoring the ball extremely well. David Lee brings us hustle, energy, and rebounds. Last night was his first career double-double. He also ranks #1 in offensive and total rebounds per 48 minutes, and #2 in defensive rebounds per 48 minutes. Nate Robinson has been struggling, but it?s mostly due to his transition to the NBA. Despite what the statistics dictate, Robinson changes the tempo of the game and gets everyone energized. If we learn from this Laker game and don?t have anyone score 42 points on us, hopefully we can get better results.
