Kevin Long has gone from the Yankees to the Mets. Terms were not disclosed.

Now at least the Mutts have a scapegoat, if all else fails this year 2015, they can blame it all on Long...! and fire him....I'm sure that will get those bats a-swinging.....!

Why did the Mets' part ways with their previous batting coach? Hmmm....

After all, they didn't exactly have a lineup filled with accomplished ML hitters with proven histories.
What the heck did they expect? lmao

And...they still managed to score approx the same amount of runs as the Yankees with David Wright (their best proven all around hitter) having his worst/bad season! lol

Okay, here we go.....release the hounds.

Now, back to my question- what the heck did the Mets expect? (from their pre batting coach)
Their lineup did about as good as can be expected..have to admit, it could've been better if THEY were playing their home games at Yankee Stadium instead of Citi Field-
Lucas Duda, Grandy and Murphy all agree. lol


I guess the Mets just have higher standards and expected more from their "loaded" lineup. They'll move in the fences. lol

...and since they moved the fence in and lowered them a couple of years ago there's not that much difference in the dimensions anymore...the Mets line up, much like the Yanx' line up this year flat out sucked, period. And no batting coach alone is going to turn them around.

Of course the Mets' lineup sucked this year..and is it safe to say they also didn't have as many "good proven" hitters as the Yanks had?
However, I was serious when I said the Mets' offense would've been better if they played their home games at Yankee Stadium.

They may have moved in their fences- but Yankee Stadium's RF was still much friendlier than Citi Field and Lucas Duda may have - maybe - lol - lead the League in HRs if he played his home games this season at Yankee Stadium...
...I know I know...it's all guess work and supposition.
I seen that guy hit at least 5 or so balls to RF at Citi field that would've been HRs at YS..and this isn't watching ALL the games. I also believe Daniel Murphy(GOOD HITTER) would have a few more HRs...and nobody will convince me that Grandy didn't see the ball better or feel more comfortable swinging at YS.

Even the catcher d'arnaud (I swear) lol , hit a couple of balls to RF that would've been gone at YS....of course it's no secret about RF at Yankee Stadium..and I think the Yankees OF ALL TEAMS, are missing a couple of power hitting lefty swingers to take advantage of the RF porch...AND I DO BLAME CASHMAN for that one!

My goodness, here I am talking about Lucas Duda....the funny thing is, he probably would've been a difference maker for the Yankees this season.

Just shooting the breeze....I could be wrong, I could be right..we'll never know and we don't care. lol

I give up, Long had nothing to do with anything, that's why they fired him, then paid him severance by giving him a real nice authentic scapegoat suit. It has "The Kidz" sewn into the lapels, and "BC" on the dry clean label...

Honestly, I do give, I'm worn out from talking the dead horse subject....not worth wasting valuable energy these days, when energy is a scarce commodity :lol:

Then again I have a solar cell panel atop my Yanks hat, wired directly into my heart...!!!

Yes a couple hard line drive hitters, a couple contact swatters placing each pitch, spraying balls all over the field, enough so to leave the interlocking NY on the field.

On the other hand, there's still a few young; good hitters, who bat LH'd like the Cards Wong, Ichiro, Matsui, Donnie BB, Rose from either side. Or as a Lefty Bat, those who still hit for the same avg despite the pitcher's being leftys or right.

And there's still hope, young Power Hitters like Giancarlo Stanton can hit a 500 foot bomb to deep center, as well to the opposite field, right. Great Hitter's often prefer to hit balls where they're thrown. Outside=Opposite Field.

Like an endless dance/quest to find any bat that can be used for Yanx Bombing...!
 
This all furthers my side of the arguement. Never said he wasn't a good hitting coach, said he obviously lost the ability to reach the current team and/or had become complacent in reaching certain players. He needed a change in perspective as much as our players did. Glad he landed a new job. Wish him success, as I sure he wishes his successor the same.

Just messing with you guys. Neither side is gonna give in or even attempt to see the other persons side. If I were in Arkansas, I take 59 out for a couple of beers after we punched the hell out of each other in the parking lot. :)

Rick sold that Model T, in 1980 for both A Gremlin, and a Pinto, (which has a Vega Body, with Pinto chassis et al). At one time Rick also owned a Rambler with a bumper sticker "God Bless Hillary".
