Next coach won’t matter if Drury is still here. Lav and Housley needed to go, but Drury definitely needs to be shown the door as well. He has proven he was not ready for this job as many had said from the start.Lav and Housely axed
1000000000000000000% spot-on. I have no issue at all firing Lav and Housley after this trainwreck of a season, but keeping Drury negates most of the impact. How Drury can keep his job after two embarrassing seasons in 3 seasons, AND get to hire a 3rd coach in 5 seasons, is so far beyond any logic it's crazy. Maybe the answer is Dolan is awful, so that's how Drury keeps his in over his head job. What Pres/GM gets to hire 3 coaches in 5 seasons and keeps their job, joke. Just like I said though, that's what will happen, the coaches fired and Drury will keep his job, I knew that would happen and Dolan didn't have the commonsense to fire Drury as well.Next coach won’t matter if Drury is still here. I agree, I don't see Trots as having a realistic shot at the job. There are much better and less abrasive options, who also are tough minded, hold players accountable, and focus on D, the Rangers can hire (Torts is certainly not the only coach with those traits). I also agree not sure it really matters, because as expected Dolan is keeping awful Drury, 3 coaches in 5 seasons is almost unheard of for one Pres/GM wow, but again I digress.Torts would be a TERRIBLE fit here. We have young players we want to play and he HATES playing young guys. Dump keeps talking about bringing in Torts but I think her forgets how Torts benched young guys ALL the time and played vets over them at every chance.
Put me in the very skeptical bucket on this one. He seems like a fine coach, who has done a lot of very good things at Denver, but I just cannot see the Rangers hiring a college coach with no NHL experience, on top of that the guy is 35. I'll say right now, I'd be shocked if he is their choice.Alot of people seem to want David Carle.
Right, but I could still see Drury going the college route. Carle seems like the only guy they'd consider there. They’re not gonna fucking rebuild next year and give their first pick away and make it be a top five pick
I will respectfully strongly disagree with you on both counts.I could definitely see Drury hiring a college coach, especially if they're leaning toward more of a rebuild than going for it next year. They're kind of stuck between the two.
