Jake Locker retired? Wow!

I know he had injuries and all, but still a huge bust. Guy was super talented in college. One of the great college talents I've seen at the QB position in college.
I wonder if he golfs with Ryan Leaf?

Looks like the Eagles are going to sign Ryan Mathews to replace LeSean McCoy. I wonder how much better he'll be in Chip's system than he was in San Diego. If he can stay healthy (seems to be the refrain for all of their pickups this year), I don't think there will be much of a drop-off.

That's why I say potential. If Seattle can land Bowe though, his chances of getting banged up decrease. I hope it works out because he is a legit monster when healthy, but so is Harvin... Idk we'll see come September.

Unger only played 6 games last season. I'm sure Graham played more than that.
Graham is definitely an upgrade weapon-wise over anything the Seahawks have had since Wilson arrived, but I just think his name recognition outshines his play on the field. He has dropped off the second half of the last two seasons due to injury, refuses to block, and honestly doesn't seem like a great fit culture wise. He's clashed with the Hawks before, and lets be honest...JG is a pussy. You be physical with him at the line and you can take him out of the game. Not to mention his complete lack of will or skill to block at all.

His numbers aren't terrible in the second half of the season from what I looked at (but then again, I'm a 'Hawks fan and 50ish yards and a TD by a TE looks good lol) but his numbers will never be at that 80-90 catches 900-1000 yards in Seattle, it's just not how our offense works. He will get looks downfield and in the endzone though. He will have to adjust to Wilson extending plays, that will be his biggest learning curve (blocking isn't a huge concern because we still have Willson who is decent).

I was looking more at totals from the first and second halfs where he averages 500-600 yards in the first 8 games and then falls to about 300-400 in the last half. Obviously SEA fans are used to those figures for a whole season from their TE.

I don't mean to sound horribly negative, Graham is a great player. I just think that his reputation is a little overblown for his impact (at least statistically) on the Seahawks. The biggest impact he will have is opening up the field a little more for Lynch which should make Beast Mode even more dangerous.

not much noise on the Broncos front. Last year had some flashy moves, but this year, depth signings so far

So what do the Hawks do for center now? I know he was injured a bunch, but I think the Hawks need to find a better solution at Center. Perhaps that will be addressed through the draft?

Probably, grasu or the guy from Auburn would be a good start. Picking up a vet wouldn't hurt either.

Niners lost Gore, but don't worry, they're looking to get Reggie Bust!

You know he's currently 15th among active players in career rushing yards. He hasn't been a world beater, but he hasn't been terrible either. Had a rough season last year, but averaged over 1000 yds for the prior 3. If he comes at a decent price, he's not a bad option. As compared to Gore, he is only a year younger, but has had half as many carries. A lot of life left in those legs.

Kind of have to take into account catches for a passing back don't you? Well I guess you don't have to but I would :) Total touches between the two might be a better system? Gore had that scary injury in college but otherwise seems like an ironman compared to Bush.

Receiving touches are so much less taxing than rushing touches it's not even funny, so they're really not comparable. However, even taking that into account, Bush's 1732 combined touches are significantly less than Gore's 2784. But still, I presume that Bush will cost a lot less than Gore, and be less likely to drop off that RB-over-30 cliff that Gore is expected to hit.

Agree on the cost, not so sure on the breaking down part. Was just curious on the numbers though, thanks.

My Ravens are dumping the house again. Canty,McPhee,Ngata,Daniels,TSmith,JJones....more to come. No acquisitions. Looks like reliance on college draft on the horizon. Bet Trestman did not see this on the wall.

+> Daniels back with Kubiak. He is a winner. Red Zone dominator. PM will give him free pizza coupons.
I really thought he would stay with us but prefers Kubiak.

The Hawks would have fared better with Owen Daniels. He does block and is a crazy good Red Zone clutch catch player. We are going to miss him.

STAAAAHP!!!!
