Are you watching? Man, I really wish we had an NHL team in Portland! I just don't understand why we don't? Some people say the Moda Center was built for an NHL team.

The NHL would rock Portland without the Blazers. Because they play in the same season though, finding enough season ticket buyers and luxury box sponsors would be tough.

I think a team ends up in Portland at some point. Paul Allen has had his hands in both the Penguins and the Coyotes relocating here. It's much, much cheaper for him to get a relocated team instead of an expansion team.
