Ni-Co-li-azz bit-uooom????? How are we going to resign a guy whos name we can't chant? Someone needs to figure out a good Nicoli chant.

Perhaps this is whats holding up the negotiations...

Never really chanted Brandon's name either. Unless you count MVP.

Eject it like a spitwad.

Ba-TOOOOM!!! Ba-TOOOOM!!!

Similarly, the Atlanta Hawks' Pachulia has always sounded like a sneeze to me.

Any updates? Today is the last day to sign extensions for him.

gallinari, 4 years, 42 million. Wonder if that can help set Nic's number by tonight?

I think it hurts the Blazers. I think they bring a similar impact. Gallo just plays 10 more mpg.

DEN has a shit load of money tied up with non-stars. That come come back to hurt them.

actually I disagree as I just looked at Gallos' numbers which are better than Nic's, I don't care about the minutes, last yr they weren't that different. Nic deserves 8 mil give or take a bit per yr.

Dammit, denver gave too much to gallo, batum probably thinks he should get money in gallos ballpark even though I would take gallo over batum easily. If we overpay batum its going to be stupid

Good god. It's the agents' fault? How about the stupid owners who keep shelling out the money? Give me a break.

I think we will be seeing some major changes in contracts when the new luxury tax actually sets in. I assume there will be a lot of owners firing their GMs too. I don't think people will really understand until the time comes.

I agree. I can't understand why so many owners are signing off on these big money deals for non-franchise players. Seems way too high for players who are average starter caliber in the NBA.

FYI: Gallo is playing like a borderline all-star this year. His contract seems pretty reasonable given his age and productivity.

Pain will set in I bet. In fact, the teams playing "moneyball" will be sitting pretty. Yeah the knicks and lakers will still be able to afford amazingly high contracts and penalties; but the good thing is the smaller markets will gain in reward.

Yes he is playing very well. I am talking about everyone across the boards. That contract fits the mold of the old CBA. When that new CBA kicks in, well you know the luxury tax thing; then heads will roll.

17/5 with bad defense on a loaded team is "borderline all star?"

Nic is averaging 11/4 with much better defense in 10 fewer mpg

Gallo's D is pretty good...

Rather have Nic. By the way, I thought the teams weren't making any money!

Gallo looks like a better player then Carmelo.
