Nice article on LMA

Its too bad that the rest of the NBA fans don't see his talent or stats this year. He's totally overlooked.

The trouble is he was pretty non-descript the first month and a half of the season; his current hot streak is only about a month long.

Ditto. The weight work he did this off season is paying big dividends right now. If LaMarcus makes the same effort this summer in the weight room and working on his post game, he will be one of the best centers in the league.

Funny to think he could wind up being the guy Greg Oden was supposed to be.

Now if only Greg Oden could be the guy Greg Oden was supposed to be, we'd have a seriously badass front court.

Twin Towers, Baby!!

Ah, I miss that dream.

From the article: "With a suddenly potent inside game, the Dallas native is averaging career highs in scoring (20.4) and rebounds (8.9), with Kevin Love, Dwight Howard and Blake Griffin the only NBA players averaging 20 points and eight rebounds a game."

The first guy that came to my mind was Zach, at 20/12. There may be some others, I didn't check. I hate it when reporters don't do their homework.

Other than that, good article.

Go Blazers

Zach was under 20 points a game until last night.

Ah, I miss that dream.

Maybe the new Twins Towers. With Aldridge reprising Hakeem Olajuwon and Oden reprising Ralph Sampson?

I'd be happy if Greg Oden could be the guy that Mel Turpin turned into.

Dead?

That's kinda cold.

Sorry, I meant Thurl Baily.

Btw, anyone else remember how much Thurl (LEEEEEE) Baily would kick Portlands ass?

And he had such an awesome name, and the Utah PA guy said it so annoying.

For some reason, I'm remembering random players from the 89-90 season.

(Brandon) Roy Tarpley comes to mind too.

Stoudamire, Anthony, and Boozer are at least 20 and 8.

LeBron, Nowitzki, and Scola are right under them. To be an All-Star, Aldridge needs another rebound or two, which won't happen if Camby's on the floor.

I love that he put in all this work to improve his game. It's definitely paying off right now and it doesn't seem like this is going to be just some flash in the pan.

I wonder just how much he could have improved by now if he didn't defer to Roy on a nightly basis for the past four years.

Whaddya expect, the team made him play with a slow guy. He should have lobbied to have slow guy traded.

I know that some of you were really biatching about LMA not playing for Team USA but I think what he did this past off season was far better.

Maybe it's just me, but I still can't help but wonder what playing for Team USA would've done to his game. It sure seems to do something for those that have. Kevin Love being the current example. Either way, it's great to see him playing inside with power.

He deferred to Roy because Roy was the better player.

How dare you sir. How dare you! What about Sergio?
Ah, 'Spanish Chocolate' and 'Pistol Pete' Fernandez. I remember them. They were fun. What ever happened to those guys?

Are you seriously comparing B-Roy to a coke head who tried to iron his girlfriends stretchmarks off...with an actual iron?

Re: JA Adande on LMA's All-Star chances

awesome article

Re: JA Adande on LMA's All-Star chances

That was a little something that definitely makes me hope it happens for him. He is definitely going through a rough patch in his and his families lives, and I know how hard that can be to watch a family member fight a disease, and be helpless except for support purposes.

Re: JA Adande on LMA's All-Star chances

Great stuff. LA definitely deserves some All-Star recognition, and who would've thought that at the beginning of the season? But he's earned it.
