Hey guys, I'm a senior business student at PSU and I'm promoting the Nike Hoops Summit for my Sports Marketing class. I'm sure everyone's seen the ads for the game, today's best high school players (Grant's Mike Moser, "the next Dwayne Wade" -- John Wall, etc.) against the best under 18 Euros. Previous stars to have played in it -- Dirk, Derrick Rose, KG, Tony Parker, Kevin Durant, Ron Artest, and Blazers Martell Webster, Sergio Rodriguez and Nicolas Batum.

Game is this Saturday night in the Rose Garden. Tickets are going to be $10 at the door, but if you go to http://bit.ly/group3 they're half that price -- only $5!

This should be a great event and you can't beat the price! Great opportunity for a cheap date or family outing -- the event will be very kid friendly!

Be able to say "you saw them when!" and support a local student too! (I won't profit from any of this, just class credit)

Go Blazers!

I have more than one post. Listen to me, go to the game. The USA team is STACKED and has legit NBA talent on it now. OP, you connected with Nike EYB?

no. he's just spamming...should be posting if he wants him to take him seriously. :tsktsk:

He was totally up front about what his purpose was here, to promote the Nike Hoop Summit for his sports marketing class, what better place to get the word out than at a basketball forum.

FWIW, I've seen his handle somewhere else before on a different message board.

fuck him, mang. post or die!

adp, can we create you your very own message board so you can just talk to yourself and not mess up every thread here?

go away.

I got comp tickets also. I will be in section 114 row M. Thanks to the Blazers for giving away tickets.

yup, he was on bbb.net with us

I'm not sure why ADP is being a jerk about this being posted. It's high quality hoops in Portland, whats not to love? I went to it last year and really enjoyed seeing top HS and foreign talent

STOMP

Yeah, ADP, take it easy on the guy. It's not like he is posting something for his own personal gain. He's hooking the rest of us up with a great deal on basketball.

i just hate people registering, making one post to help themselves and disappearing forever. kind of lame.

maybe those people who register and make one post and leave do so because they don't receive a warm welcome.

What are you talking about Willis? ADP was scotching. A denizen of PHX in the summer would find this welcome warm...

Are you the same glazeduck at O-Live? If so, on that site I was RiggoDrill. Welcome to S2!

Does PSU have a good business school? I'm taking classes somewhere now and planning on transferring to PSU to finish up and get my Bachelors in business. Then I want to go somewhere else and get my Masters (unless PSU offers that and is very highly regarded).

I heard they have a good business program.

Yes, part of their sports marketing program shows you how to spam message boards!

viral marketing!

ADP I appreciate your concern but can tell you that I'm legit, I post, I have opinions, I'm not a viral marketer or anything else like that, I've simply been busy. School and work keeps me from having Friday afternoons free to talk up message boards, so I apologize for not signing up a lot sooner, but I can promise you that I DO check these boards on a regular basis, and now that I'm signed up, will add my 2 cents whenever able.

That said, a little piece of advice... Whether I'm a one and done guy, or legit (which is the case), you throwing a fit in this thread helps me out regardless. The more hits that my original message gets, the better it is for me, regardless of what you have to say. So I'm sorry you don't agree w/ my first post, but thanks for voicing it frequently. To the rest of you that remember me, thank you for the more comforting welcome :) though I'm never going to have time to be a 1000s of posts member, it does feel nice to be recognized and remembered (hopefully fondly, or at the very least not like ripcitykid)

Finally, any basketball lover in Portland should be amped about the summit being here. It's being broadcast to over 30 nations worldwide and is a tremendous showing for both the Blazers and the city of Portland. Can't say it would make much sense to get tickets anywhere other than my link, but I encourage everyone to go, it should really be some good basketball and, even if you buy them at the door, you can't beat the price.

Go Blazers. 2 Tix to tonight's game, it should be INSANE!
