Jay-Z might be Lebron James best friend, but Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports says there are limits: “James is never going to play for the New Jersey Nets. Brooklyn, yes. New Jersey? He doesn’t love Jay-Z that much.” Still, he thinks James won’t be receiving mail in Cleveland after 2010. “James has one foot out of the hometown”, Woj writes, quoting one associate this way, “He’s gone”.

I don't think anyone ever thought that LeBron would be interested in playing for the Nets if they stayed in NJ. If he leaves Cleveland, it'll be only to a big market city.

I bet everybody thought J KIDD, CARTER would never come here either.

No Brooklyn, No LeBron . . . No Shit. There's no major revelation there, Woj.

for me its a win-win situation.... either the nets move and get lebron or we get to keep the team in jersey. id be thrilled either way

I think the writer is missing the big picture here... 50 nets games will be televised in China nation wide. CHINA. You can't get more exposure than that unless you join the rockets. We're not even talking about the other games that the local tv channels in china show. IMO net's biggest rival in 2010 won't be the knicks or the cavs... it will be the Rockets.

I never truly believed LeBron would play for the Nets even if they do go to Brooklyn.

The cap space will always lure a quality FA, LeBron would have been great but there are other options out there.

Eh i've about had enough of this Lebron stuff....At this point i could careless if he's a net or not. Until then maybe we'll draft VC part 2 in Derozan.

Exactly, they were traded for. Didn't have a choice. Both were on the ousts with their teams.

Both resigned with Jersey. Kidd had a max offer from the defending champs too.

Wow, Mavs are on his supposed list. I guess working with Cuban's billions intrigues him. Knicks and Lakers were automatics.

Really? I know a few players that got traded and still didnt play for the team. So yes they had a choice.

I meant they didn't choose to come to New Jersey. It's not like they could veto the trade or something. Sure, they could have refused to report but that would have stained their careers like it did Zo's.

Kidd resigned after the team reached the Finals. This Nets team is going nowhere near the Finals within the next two years.

I thought it was a lock for LeBron to come to the Nets.

The probability was much higher if the Nets were in Brooklyn. Don't think anyone was saying if the Nets stayed in NJ.
