Blazers: building the new streak

Stoudamire and DA(when healthy) despite latent inconsistency, both have proven to be clutch players capable of making big shots.
Randolph is young, will continue to improve and is already as good as anyone around on offense.
Ratliff and Davis are tough on defense and rebounding especially against the East but less so out west, Shaq , Yao, Duncan , Garnett, Webber and the likes potentially dominant particularly since Randoplh is not a good defender.
SAR is good but a total misfit because of his overlap with Randoplh's job.
Ruben Patterson is an underrated player bringing loads of energy , comparable to Ron Artest on defence.
The BLazers can definitely be a top 5 team is they find a way to make the chemistry work. Everybody needs to be have a more definite role, work as a team, but I believe to be the most effective the Blazers need a true scorer and better, a pure shooter. Kobe, McGrady or ideally Ray Allen would turn the team around. Guys who will raise Stoudamire's assists, liberate Randolph down low while being reliable outside threats who can take the jump shot or penetrate, guys who will provide more perimeter game. I suggest trades involving SAR , Miles and Anderson.
Stoudamire/Ratliff/Davis are solid veterans with a couple of good years left. Randolph/OUtlaw/Woods will keep improving. The Blazers need a player like the three mentionned aboved who are enjoying their best years. The Blazers need an accredited full-time star ( not just a plethora of "very good player" ) to take them into the next level
.
