How can Arizona still be at 82% of the vote counted? I totally get not having it done at 11pm of election night, but three days later and they are still struggling to count? This is 2022, there has to be a better way than how they are getting this job done!

Supposedly a bunch of people who don't trust the system filled out their mail-in ballots and then walked them into polling places to drop them off in person, and they weren't prepared for that.

I get that but 2 1/2 days later???

I stopped reading there.
well......you asked.....multiple sources in and outside of Arizona have called Kelly the inevitable winner and this morning padded his cushion some more.....so far youtube, msnbc, huffpost, abc, pbs, nytimes and news several Arizona newspapers as well.....we'll see...I am not going to stop reading the results although you may exercise any source you need to confirm it for yourself.

The mail-in ballots are being accepted until today, as long as they were postmarked on Tuesday.

They were holding off counting the remaining mail-in ballots until ALL were received.

that's what it said on the voters' pamphlet too. but the wording was a full throated rebuke of slavery. that that many people ignored it is honestly disappointing to me.

No surprise, slavery is still popular in the Alabama portions of Oregon:

Here's a new one. Far right writer who denounced drag shows and gay rights said minors should be taken to Hooters. In fact, if more young people had been taken to Hooters there would have been a red wave.

Still a weirdly divided nation down the middle...any 2/3 majority vote is pretty much dead on arrival these days.

GOP has taken Nevada according to breaking news flipping the state to red.

Want youth vote?

In Michigan, Governor Whitmer got an astonishing 94% of student vote.
The 2022 midterms were swept by a youth wave that isn’t pulling back

The “red wave” political pundits have been predicting for months failed to materialize this past Tuesday. But what happened was not a “blue wave” either — rather, the 2022 election should be categorized as a “youth wave,” with near-historic numbers of young people turning out to vote, motivated not by party, but by the issues impacting them.

Early data from the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts (CIRCLE) suggests that 27 percent of people ages 18-29 cast a ballot in 2022, marking the second-highest youth turnout in a midterm election in the past three decades. In critical states where razor-thin margins are ultimately determining control of local, state and federal legislatures, including Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, CIRCLE found that youth turnout was even higher, at 31 percent.

Gen Z, alongside millennials, is on its way to becoming part of the largest voting bloc, and what we are seeing from Tuesday’s election is that they are approaching elections and politics in their own way. They care about issues more than candidates and even parties, and they are ready and willing to ask the tough questions of those in power.

Maybe finally we can get rid of the old farts who run the government...but than again, that might mean we're stuck with the Ben Shapiros and Jack Posobiecs of the world, and those guys are fucking tools.
