Clinton was a terrible candidate.

And yet, the best Dems could muster and still better than anyone else in their quiver now. Socialists and an old guy who fondles children on stage have no prayer against her in the primary.

If she runs, she will crush the primary and get crushed by Trump.

It amounted to flipping the house and 7 states for governors - which is exactly what was expected. The Senate was a pipe dream given what was coming up for reelection.

Trump won the last election (while losing the popular vote) running against a weak democratic candidate - and managed to keep his approval ratings low even tho he inherited a roaring economy. If the democrats are not idiots and put any kind of reasonable candidate - he is not going to repeat unless something dramatic happens between now and 2020.

That's andalusional talk right there.

How about a candidate who tries to kiss Pence and Putin and professes love for Kim Jong-un?

Don't overlook the many Dems who won by running on a promise of working with the President and who agree with many of his policies.

Maybe they weren't lying? :dunno:

Who were those Dems?

Someone already posted that. Again all it shows is that Trump is afraid. He gas something to hide. He is using threats to try an intimidate the dem controlled house. If he there was nothing he wouldn't give 2 shits or feel the need to tweet that.

Trump shed the only thing holding him back, the 2-3 fake R's who keep going left won't be a factor anymore. The Senate is a lock now, even if a couple R's vote left on something. Legislation is going to fly through and nobody can stop it. The lefty courts will now be over-ruled by SCOTUS on all of their anti-Constitutional politically-motivated rulings.

The House has no real power in the end, all they can do is obstruct and throw crap at the President which will just make them look so ridiculous they'll lose the House next time around.

Legislation is gonna fly through??

How you figure that when bills originate in the House?

Lol. Y'all don't get shit passed without making deals with democrats.

Pelosi said as much but she ain't gonna be speaker so....

I'm not sure I can agree with either part of that post. Pelosi said she agrees with many of Trump's policies? Really?

And Pelosi is almost surely going to be speaker.

She is just saying that. She doesn't agree with him. She is trying set a path to for some bipartisan work to be done. She is playing nice so when Trump fucks the pooch, its on the republicans.

She might very well be man.

We'll see. There are dems who ran on not voting for her.

She talked today about working with Trump. It was on CNN.

Eisenhower, Johnson and Clinton did.
Kennedy had to make a tax cut to get things going.
Johnson had rampant inflation.
Clinton, can't recall the details.

A few, and mostly if not entirely newly elected. It won't be unanimous, but she'll have the votes.

Ok, but I don't even need to hear what she said to know that it means something different than what Maris implied. Also he was talking about those who said things prior to the election.

Lol, Dems gonna win Senate in 2020? I'd put the odds at like 10%.

Let's assume Dems win Presidency, so they have the tiebreak, which means they ONLY have to flip 4 senate seats. But wait, AL will flip to R, so they'll need 5. So they flip Colorado and Maine (easy targets). Where do they get 3 more? Maybe North Carolina, Maybe Iowa, Maybe even Arizona, but all 3?

They have to run the gauntlet

Not disputing whether he's afraid or not, but you have about 5 years of tweets from the man showing that he gives 2 shits and tweets about everything, including and especially where he feels slighted.

Whoever is speaker they should try and provide bipartisan support so that when/if times comes for new Justice appointment Trump would entertain a demo or moderate. Or the guy the republicans blocked.
Senate controls the confirmation of appointee's. Just a thought

You few who are pretending like the republicans won like a delusional denialridden Trump are mistaken.

The Senate republicans were not in Jeopardy of losing the senate in 2018. They won 2 seats from democrats in Indiana and North Dakota to heavy red states. Not a suprise.

Dems won the house taking 30+ seats

In the 2020 senate election there are 33 seats to be up for reelection. 22 by the republicans, 11 by the Dems. Non of tbe dems will really be in jeopardy. They are all in mostly democractic states. There will be at least 9 seats in jeopardy for the republicans in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Kentucky, Montana, Texas, and North Carolina.

Trump will not be reelected. The republicans lost the midwest. They lost the house. In 2020 they will lose the senate and presidency.

How often do you bounce checks?

Foolish thinking. He ain't putting a moderate up.

Dems need to hold the line as much as they can.

She also said she was going to work with Trump on several bills on MSNBC. Infrastructure for starters.

What was foolish my man, was the Dem's running Hilary in 2016 but that didn't seem to bother you. Will it in 2020, because she feels entitled and no way she lets your gal beat her out of it. EW & Bernie have Z chance as they did against someone who should have beat easily. Now thats foolish! Hope they don't blow it again!
