Ok lets gauge your thoughts on this team so far. What is the one area you would like to see us improve to take that next step? Finish this statement:

"Now, if the Blazers can just ..."

Stay healthy

Keep up their defensive intensity

Limit Crawfords fourth quarter minutes

Continue to push the ball

Add a defensive minded center who can rebound

Have fans that wait more than 5 games to start threads like this

Jeez, I was just kind of curious of what everyone thought the biggest area of opportunity was to see the different viewpoints but why I am not at all surprised that MM jumped all over this thread ... haha. But thanks for the input.

Continue to play great defense!

Isn't there just 2 centers of the future for the ENTIRE league?

HEALTH

BACKUP PG

CENTER OF FUTURE

Doesn't the health thing directly relate to our Center of the future in Oden?

I'd like to start looking for a nice young center but there really aren't any to be had so I bet we do something stupid like wait tell FA and then offer Spencer Hawes 4 years 40 mill.

Its really slim out there, might be best if we move LMA to center next year and get a big banger type PF like Brandon Bass to play next to him.

trade all of our players for draft picks while their value is really high and tank the rest of the season.

Ummm ... probably not.

As for Spencer Hawes, he's no great shakes defensively, but he's pretty skilled. Personally I think this is the year to draft a big man, whether that's a power forward or a center -- it's loaded.

Love how deep this draft class is for bigs. One guy I have my eye one is Josh Smith from UCLA. Guy is super super talented and big but his desire to put in the work it would require to make it in the NBA has constantly been questioned.

Yeah, because threads like this really affect the team's performance.

You think so? Wow, I'd never really thought of that before, but you might be right. Personally, I was just thinking these kinds of threads are a little bit premature, but I'll have to consider your angle.

Premature for what? Us fans really having an influence on the outcome of the games? We should definitely wait until 27 games into the season before we can expect our suggestions to make a difference.

So much pretending in these threads; Nik pretending to be dumb and literal, MM pretending to be pleased with Nate... so much subterfuge and duplicity.

With this roster it's all about staying healthy. Everything else will take care of itself.
