2014 = 15,840 runs (528 Aver per team) PROJECTED
2013 = 20,250 runs (675 Aver per team)
2000 = 24,792 runs (832 Aver per team)
2014 = 3,360 Home runs (112 Aver per team) PROJECTED
2013 = 4,650 Home runs (155 Aver per team)
2000 = 5,693 Home runs (190 Aver per team)
With between 35-40 games left in the season there are currently only 7 players in the AL with 25 or more homes runs & only 2 players in the NL with more then 25 home runs. There's also a strong possibility that for the 1st time since 1982 no player will hit 40 home runs. Cruz currently has 34 with just over a month to go.
Personally I've got to be honest & go along with the Glavine / Maddox commercial, "Chicks dig the long ball" I kidda miss that.

I did in fact try pouring Budweiser over Wheaties when I was a young 21 yrs old. Tasted like shit too....the Wheaties, ie, not the Bud....on that topic: WTF- was Busch thinking by selling out, when Premium unleaded Michelob was taken off the BrauMeister's list....only Mick Lite, and Dark....
