I'd like to complain.. its relaly hard to do college work when I know I won't ever use it. It's hard to know that I only have to get the little piece of paper on it that says Degree to get my job. Fuck this college crap.

the thing is, the better you do in school, the less pressure you have when its party time. I had the best times in college when I was doing well. take fun classes...like psych with lots of chicks in it.

Eh I don't party at all, and I'll have fun once I get the damn prerequisite classes out of the way. It's just annoying that I'm learning about Nucleic acid structure just so I can prepare food and clean up shit in the future.

It's all useless. I talked to a lot of potential future employers and they all said "sorry but nothing you learn in college will help you most likely. We only care that you have experience, and the degree. We could care less how well you did in your classes as long as you passed." It's hard to get motivated when I know it's for nothing.

yup. unless you're getting recruited by an accoutning firm or applying to a grad school, all that shit don't really matter. the piece of paper and where you went and if you finished decently is good enough.

I was in the hospital last week, and even the Radiologist taking xrays of me said that he did shitty in college and the hospital only cared about internships and stuff like that. Only 3 more years left.

the MD or the tech? Techs are a trade school I think. For med school, grades are pretty important.

I'm not sure. He just took pictures of my stomach and talked to me for awhile. I guess he was a radiologist so he didn't have a doctorate.

There is a flip side to that complaint. Look at it this way - this is the last chance you'll have to learn about that stuff - future employers won't give you the time to pursue non-applied knowledge. The things you learn now will be forever useful in cocktail party conversations and internet arguments. You just have to stop thinking of it as job related.

You know I realized today I haven't typed in the other message board in my address bar in a long time, probably the longest I've gone in years (not counting vacations). Feels kind of weird.

And too barfo, that is a good point. I just don't really care about whta I'm learning about.

I can't deal with it anymore... my roomate.. he just doesnt stop talking. He just never quits. He talks constantly about crap i dont care about. i can't do it anymore. if i ever stop posting its because I've killed myself...

I've been gone hours and then right when I get back he is talkin about oil refineries in washington. It just doesn't stop. Sometimes he brings a girl over but she is some white trash girl who spent like 4 years in juvie and doesn't understand the concept of whispering when other people are sleeping (me).

yeah. i was injured oden for haloween, people fucking loved the costume. other funny ones, is 3 people did weekend at bernies. lots of sexy nurses.....was at a house party, fun times.
