This bitchy lady at the register rings me up wrong (cheaper not more expensive) and I point it out to her by saying "this can't be right", and she immediately cops an attitude with me so I tell her "you know I could have just hit yes and gotten out of here".

If I ever open up a gourmet Burger restaurant I'm going to name one of the burgers "The Sloppy Hasselhoff". The description will read "This burger's a mess! Pairs well with an *insert beer here*. Followed by the list of ingredients."

I've noticed a new trend among FOBs (fresh off the boats) where they say "shit" colloquially. I have to come up with a good theory on this, but I think its a way for them to try to be edgy/western while still being a fucking fob.

I went to the Mariners/Red Sox game yesterday at Safeco Field. I'm sitting on the third base side but close to home plate, like maybe 30 rows back. Honestly, it's the best baseball seats I have ever had. There are many, many red sox fans at the game, and particularly in our section behind the Red Sox dugout. The Red Sox chants seem much louder than any M's chants. David Price is on his game and pretty much single handedly shutting down the M's. The bottom of the 8th starts and the M's are down 4-0. A few hits later the score is 4-2. Cano is up to the plate and it is a 1-2 count with 1 out. This one particularly boisterous Red Sox fan two seats in front of me yells "Hey Cano! My daughter has a better swing than you!!!" Not even a half second later Cano delivers a 3 run home run to put the M's up 5-4. All the Red Sox fans in the section glare at the Red Sox fan. All the M's fans are busting up laughing and the guy behind me yells "Your daughter must have an amazing swing!" It was actually the funniest thing I have ever seen at a baseball game ... even the people who are with Mr. Red Sox fan were glaring at him, including possibly someone who was his actual daughter. I wish I could have gotten it on video. It surely would have gone viral.

So I was drinking yesterday and this girl's alarm on her watch goes off at 5pm.

She takes out her birth control pills and downs it with some beer right in the middle of everyone.

Wifey material.

Went to a party last night. Saw a blind black dude walk through.

Why don't cars have two batteries? You know--one for starting the vehicle, and a separate one to run electronics when the alternator isn't functioning. So that if you were dumb enough to leave your lights on overnight, you'd still be able to start your car that next day.

Seems like an obvious solution to an age-old problem, which means there's got to be a reason it isn't done. Any car guys know why?

Added cost in manufacturing. Space- depending on the car. The added weight would kill MPG, when everyone is trying to reach the EPA standards for new vehicles. I run dual batteries in my truck (1 ton crewcab dually), but it already weighs so much, a battery won't matter. That, and I have never actually figured out my MPG anyways (I'm scared to know-It's BAD). Lol. Go online or hit the auto parts store, and pick up a "headlight reminder buzzer" for 5 or 10 bucks. Installs right in most fuse boxes. Cheap and simple. What's your year, make and model? You can PM me, if you don't want to blast it all over the internet....

Oh, I haven't killed my own battery in years. This was just a thought I had while I was listening to an ad for some truck saying its built-in inverter is strong enough to power a 55-inch TV for your tailgate party. I thought, "I wonder how many people have killed their batteries while tailgating", which then got me to thinking about dual batteries in vehicles.

Seriously though, with as many people get stuck or stranded because of dead batteries, it just seems like battery redundancy would be a smart thing for an auto-manufacturer to consider. I mean, don't you think that would give you a leg up on the competition? I don't see how the extra weight of a second battery could impact MPG that drastically.

And since you brought it up, I proudly fold my 6'5" frame into a '98 Escort of which I'm the 2nd owner.

Oh yeah, I agree it's a great idea, thus my truck setup. I'm no expert on the manufacturing end of it either. Just possibilities from stuff I've heard, and seen over the years. For the most part, manufactures are cutting every corner the can, to save money and weight. Cheap ass lightweight parts that break easy. Poor designs that may save time in manufacturing, but make what could have been a simple 15 minute repair, into a 2 hour headache. Stuff like that....

Hey now, I had a 87 Escort (and a 82 EXP) for YEARS. Lowered it, shaved the handles, painted it candy apple red. Hindsight- what a fricken waste of money! It was still just an Escort.... Probably the most dependable car I've ever had though. Love em.
