<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Nuggets Front-Runners For Kidd?

The Lakers have made more overtures about acquiring Jason Kidd, but the Nets weren't interested in the offer, according to the New York Post.

The Nuggets, reportedly offering Marcus Camby and draft picks, are considered the front-runners if Kidd is dealt. -- Riverside Press-Enterprise</div>

No,thank you

From Denver's perspective I don't understand this trade. They would lose their defensive presence down low, and that could turn out to be costly.

Who would they start at center? McCoy? Nene?

Camby is turning 34 in a couple of months...

No thanks.

I'm not saying that we should trade Kidd, but even though Camby is approaching 34 he still can get average a double double to go a long with 2-3 blocks.

So you don't believe in retooling the team around Vince?

Camby would be a goiod inside precense for us.How can you say no ? Even though he's gettin old I would still take him,he would really help the Nets alot inside the paint.

Nope,not VC and RJ.

Your right guys, why wouldn't we want one of the best centers in the NBA to mentor our guys into legit bigs.

perhaps a three way? Kidd goes to the Nuggets, we get Kleiza, Smith, and a pick, and Camby goes to the Hawks or someone, maybe we could throw in a pick and get Josh Smith, or we could get Marvin and maybe a pick.

Camby and Williams, wow that would be a block fest in the paint. But still I don't think I like it all that much because 1) Camby is getting old 2) He's not very durable 3) Who's going to fill the PG void, and it'll be a big void that's for sure

This would be a move to retool around Vince. With Vince dominating the ball, there isn't much need for a PG. Get JR Smith in the trade so that his cocky little ass will challenge Vince to dunk and 3 point shooting contests after practice. That will get Vince's juices flowing.

All of the Nets problems solved because Vince would be on the war path.

Nene would be Denver's big. He's got a big contract, too, so the move makes sense for them.

How old is Kidd, 34 too?

I can't tell if this is serious, or sarcasm.

This is one of the few trade scenarios where we actually get back a good player AND picks. Kidd/Melo/AI aren't gonna do anything without a big man in the middle so those picks would be mid first rounders at worst. If this was a realistic trade, which it's not, i'd do this for sure. Camby is a versatile big man with a pretty decent jumpshot who sees the floor well and can facilitate others. Sure he has a penchant for missing games but he's still a top 5 center in the league.

The Nuggets would be fine in the middle if they only traded one of Camby, Nene, or Kenyon.

I'm not really a big Nene fan and Kenyon's body is a ticking time bomb so i'd take my chances on that one personally. I think they would need another move after the Kidd one to solidify that team IMO.

</div>If he wasn't, he was being pretty unrealistic lol. I agree that a team could be built around Vince, and that he could be the primary ballhandler, but it would be best if he didn't have to be the main ballhandler for more than 25 mpg. If you had someone else to cover the remaining 20 it would work out.

As for JR Smith making Vince's juices flowing... Isn't that what RJ is for?

Anyway, Camby is like a jump shooting center with injury problems, the Nets need to go for a low-post center.

True that.

It's most definetly sarcasm.

I agree with what BR said. If we trade Kidd, we want young talent, not old heads.

We take back Camby, stay in mediocrity even longer.

If we are a middle of the road team with Kidd, and you replace Kidd with Camby, what do you think will happen? By the time those picks even matter, Camby will be broken down, as he's Mr. Glass.
