Kenneth Faried is currently available in trade talks by the Denver Nuggets.

Faried doesn't fit with the Nuggets' current direction as they have Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic at center and want to play with pace and space at the power forward position.

The Nuggets would likely prefer to bring Faried off the bench but it is unlikely to be a move he would accept.

Denver has been shopping Faried off and on for several seasons.

Would have liked him here if we still have LA but I'm happy with our current group of forwards.

His on-court value went way down when he tried to become a scorer. Instead of crashing the o-boards he would rather pop for a jumper now.

If he could go back to his strength (rebounding) he'd be a great fit here with all these shooters.

His value is at an all-time low, it'd be interesting to see what they're asking for.

Dame/CJ/Harkless/Faried/MyLe?

Is that a contending starting lineup?

What the hell for? He's overrated, undersized, and kind of a knucklehead. Plus, he's going down the Zach-Randolph road, earning his reputation as an uber-scrapping garbage man then deciding to spend increasingly more time floating around shooting rather than banging down low. Plus, he pissed off Steve Blake once.

Need a badass elbow fucker to elbow the fuck out of LaMarshmellow.

"Currently available". LOL, make that, has always been available to anyone that will take him for a top 55 protected 2025 second round draft pick.

J.J. Hickson the Sequel. Denver had buyer's remorse the second the re-signed him and have been trying to trade him ever since.

He has three years and about $40 million left on his current contract. I can't see Paul Allen paying luxury tax for a guy with a grand total of 2 made career 3-pointers. He would be a poor fit in Terry Stotts' system.

KEEP ED DAVIS!!!!! He's half the price Faried is, gives us the same rebounding, better defense, a higher TS% at a much lower USG% and WANTS to be here. Faried is a rich man's Ed Davis. Paul Allen may be rich, but he's not stupid.

BNM

If he played for Portland he'd be untouchable.

AMIRITE?
To me... he'll ALWAYS be untouchable. I wasn't sad/didn't regret when we didn't draft him; didn't want to "touch" him then, don't wanna get near him now:pokecrap:(this is as close as I would come to "touching" Faried):tongue2:

Pointless trading for player that will not improve us greatly. I believe another trade Olshey will make will be for a star, we have the assets to get it done.

Lets see who would I rather play at the 4. Davis/Aminu/Crabbe/Plumlee/Meyers, yea don't want him.

Would dump Meyers,Montero and Pat for him ,but i don't see them accepting that.

In fairness, the BGD OP did not suggest the Blazers trade for Kenneth Faried; it only said he's being shopped. And the blurb is labeled OT.

Thank you BGD for not suggesting something as stupid as trading for Faried.

Say what you will about BGD, his plausibly deniable implication game is strong.

I will say this: none of us know how Faried would preform under the Blazers system, let's not be too negative about the prospect of him joining.
