This "3 all-stars or gtfo" narrative is such non sense. Would draymond or Klay be all stars if they played for the Kings? Mavs are a good example too. They had Dirk and a bunch of role players, which is completely ok, because role players are almost as important as the stars. That's the beauty of team sports.
Yes, Klay and Dray would be all stars on another team. The Mavs didn't just have Dirk and a bunch of role players, they had an MVP, a defensive POY, a 4 time all star in Shawn Marion, 12 time all star in Kidd, and 2 time all star in Butler.
I agree that role players are important. My argument was that in today's NBA the role players have to be surrounded with at least 3 all star level players and I think my point is proven.
The Spurs are the one anamoly and that's because of their system and coaching. The Spurs are the exception to the rule.
