i think nurks future heavily depends on the new head coach and how he plans to use him

if the blazers hire mike dantoni, nurk is as good as gone

Nurk talk a lot in interview that's could have rub olshey the wrong way that could lead him being traded not saying he will but could be possiblity.

Hopefully Nurk will enjoy his honeymoon, get back in the gym, and work on his many deficiencies . He needs to get back to focusing on being the player he was a couple of years ago. That player was a beast on the court. He finished at the hoop, stayed out of foul trouble, and made opposing players drives to the hoop, a living nightmare. Remember Michael Malone Nurk? Grass ain't always greener.

Bubble Nurk is the only Nurk I’d be worried about losing. Very inconsistent, if we need to package him with CJ for something nice I’m all in.

Yeah fuck him if he acts like a Diva. Sure his impact is big but what role does he want? He's not skilled like Towns, Jokic or Zion, he still struggles to make easy shots. Unless he improves big time he should know his place in the league

Man I wish. Nurk sucks imo. I gave up on him awhile ago. To out of control around the rim, hates dunking, to much throwing up flimsy shit, fouling machine, the list goes on.

Oh ya the worst part about him is he thinks he’s so fucking good and has this entitlement bitching about his game. A lot of the reason he loses focus and fouls a lot.

I think another team can think they could change him we can get good pieces for him

Nurk needs to gtfu and understand he has proven nothing in the nba so far.
I really like him but damn… shut yer trap and talk on the court.

i dont didagree with most of this. The only counter i would have is he is still young overall and didnt grow up playing ball in the states.

see the Doncic situation in Dallas. International players have a different mold and it shows in thier emotions.

not trying to make excuses, i just havent given up like you have, in hopes that he still has a level of maturity to hit.
Right now though im with you. He cant play good unless he knows he is thought of as the savior or something.

when he wins dpoy or makes an all nba team then he can talk all the shit he wants. Until then, shut up, and play ball.

Dame will decide if Nurk stays or not....he's the voice in Nurk's head more than his emotions after a disappointing loss. I don't read much into Nurk's post game rant but I do sense he didn't like his role in the Denver series....fact is he played Jokic's game and he should have made Jokic play his game

I agree. That being said, don't spend too long on your Honeymoon. See Dame. There's work to be done on your game to get back to Beast Mode. A Lot Of Work.

Whoever those teams are that are monitoring the Nurk situation... get them on the phone because the immobile 7 footer is obsolete. The defensive player of the year is getting his shit handed to him.

Utah coach didn't make any adjustments on what the clippers was doing and the clippers coaching staff made the correct adjustment at the half. Maybe Billups don't look so bad after all.

I'm with you, hopefully the stuff from 97' isn't bad and we get Billups in a good way. That being said, the only 7 footers needed in the game (and hieght and length still matter) are the mobile ones. Evan Mobley is seven feet tall and he'll likely be the second player taken in the draft but he's also as mobile as AD and the Greek Freak. So I just think if there are teams that want to give us some value for Nurk, make that trade and hopefully we can get a guy like Noel in here who is quick and fast and can switch on the perimeter.

Great post. Gobert is good but still way overrated. So easy for centers to disappear in games these days.

can't help myself

10 Zach Collins
13 Donovan Mitchell
14 Bam Adebayo

Bam may be the near-perfect modern NBA C. He just doesn't shoot the three. He does everything else well though

Tonight showed you one thing, If a player is over 6'10" that's only advantageous to you when there isn't a marked difference between them and the other players on the floor when watching the game from directly above the action. Being a seven footer can no longer be an excuse for not being able to use.

Thanks @AldoTrapani and Bam moves like he's not a big.

I think that's what teams really need rather than a traditional C. I mean, there are SG's playing SF; and SF's playing PF. Might as well have a PF playing C.

need C's like Christian Wood, Chris Boucher, Jarret Allen....although Ayton looks pretty good

Nurkic for Kuzma. Only half joking.
I think you can play Kuzma at the 5 in today's NBA. He's 6'10" with a 7 foot wingspan. Just start conditioning him to play a bit more underneath but mostly just space the floor against the teams behind the learning curve.

That's because Ayton is fucking quick. As much as I'm operating in hyperbole tonight, there is a way to make a guy like Rudy work for you but you have to be willing to slow down and force feed your big in the low post. Make the other team pay if they're going to make you pay. If you're running guys at them on the perimeter and they're playing a guy that's like 6'8" as their biggest on the floor then your big should make 100% of his shots and their semi-open three point shooter should shoot no more than 60%.
