Please don't try to tell me what I was or wasn't doing. Thanks. None of this matters anyway and has nothing to do with the point I was making. My point; relying on free agency = not smart.
Someone has to when you're clueless about it and it's annoying.
They did but only to a two year deal. He can opt out this summer too so who knows what's going on in Chicago. They're in a big mess. They signed dwade to a 24mil per year deal last year. That may be your opinion what is the best thing to do but I dont think they are listening to you.
You know what's annoying? A pseudo intellectual on a message board.
Ugh... How the hell could I forget that..?
Thanks.![]()

You could very well be right. As I said, I've only seen him play a few times - but because people had been talking about him, I made a point to pay attention and I wasn't impressed. He didn't look any better than Ed Davis' first season with us.@blue9 You have no idea what you're talking about when it cones to O'Quinn if you think he's a mediocre backup.
Maybe someday. MAYBE. If that player is ahead of the curve and integrates quickly, then he might even be better than Crabbe by the end of next season...but that's certainly not something to bank on. Maybe he'll fit better than Turner, but it's unlikely that he'd be better than Turner in the next couple years. And it's highly doubtful he'd either fit better, and certainly wouldn't BE better, than Harkless in the next couple years. Harkless fits quite well as a 4th/5th option, especially now that we have Nurk. And whoever we draft at #8 will be far better than Turner/Crabbe/Harkless, and we could easily sign equal or better players than them.
So let's see rumors are saying we want to move up an New York is interested in moving down to add more picks... Clearly we are trading for Kyle O'Quin and making a huge salary dump by swapping for melo

In there. Knicks want more picks.
Also said Portland HASN'T discussed moving players
I think that's the weird thing about this draft....there's not that much difference in the top 10 or the bottom 20 of the first round...nobody will convince me ever that Ball will be better than Bell...first exampleSince when does wanting more picks = trade down?
Are you trolling again?
Since when does wanting more picks = trade down?
And it doesn't say Portland hasn't discussed moving players either.
Just not giving up a pick to move a salary. Something discussed in the Harkless threadAre you trolling again?

Someone like Monk would be as good if not better than Crabbe right away. You're underrating the 8th pick in the draft. You could very well be right. But regardless of all that, the point still stands that your proposed trade is an AWFUL use of assets. And no, we CAN'T "easily sign equal or better players" than Turner/Crabbe/Harkless.
Well, neither's game translates well to the NBA but both are hyped up based off basic stats.I think that's the weird thing about this draft....there's not that much difference in the top 10 or the bottom 20 of the first round...nobody will convince me ever that Ball will be better than Bell...first example
couldn't disagree more....Bell is one of the most NBA ready guys in the draft..Ball....I agreeWell, neither's game translates well to the NBA but both are hyped up based off basic stats.
Why? Because blocks?couldn't disagree more....Bell is one of the most NBA ready guys in the draft..Ball....I agree
