if this is true, this sucks.
I was semi-thinking that this may just be a ploy to get some heat on the Nets, since there was so much negativity with the Knicks.

Yea well she went to the police the next day. It took a week for this to get out to the press.</p>

it seems as if Kidd couldn't keep up with Rod Benson's pimping skills as seen in eariler blog entries when he's at bars and clubs.

Nets or NBA should send Kidd to the rookie sympsium they have annually for the incoming rookies to inform them of the dangers out there.</p>
 
I dont think Kidd is a very good person. I have no problem withthat because I have very low morals as well. I prefer to whip it out look at the girl and say "What are we going to do about this?"</p>

I saw this article, and laughed for about 5 minutes.</p>

The man is a great point guard, but as far as moral fiber goes? Not quite a role model.</p>

Ah well, at least he didn't hit her.</p>
 
Obviously I don't know whether the allegation is true (though it fits my impression of the kind of guy he is based on his past). But it definitely helps explain an otherwise puzzling thing I noticed in the televised practice from last Wednesday (which took place only a few hours after this incident supposedly ocurred.) At one point Carter appeared to be ribbing Kidd and mouthed the words "he's drunk" to another player (off camera). I still have it on tivo and may run it back to re-evaluate. But it seemed so strange at the time that I ran it back during the next commercial that morning just to see it a second time. It seemed equally clear the second time that Carter mouthed "he's drunk".</p>

I seriously doubt Kidd actually had abnormal blood alcohol levels at practice, but the after-effects must have seemed obvious enough to Vince, expecially if Kidd planted the seed earlier in the practice by telling him where he'd been just a few hours earlier.</p>

I know in the NBAtv recap of the show, they were showing kid in the locker room start jogging to the floor saying, "I'm going to be late" or something to that effect too. yikes. I thought Kidd gave up the drinking?
