That Stepan situation was complete crap. It's a dangerous late hit that takes him out of the game and we end up losing a dman for 15 minutes for coming to his defense.
It's laughable. It truly is. That is 100% a penalty for at the very least interference. The puck had been moved, and then two to three seconds later he's drilled into the wall. The instigator penalty was bullshit. It's always been bullshit. I understand why they did it, but the better solution is to have made it a call for the refs to make if it's a LEGIT instigator. Not every single time should that be called a penalty.

I don't think anyone has ignored any flaws. It was the same thing last season, and the same thing the season before, so I won't overreact to them this season. No different really. And we were way worse through 23 last season. What we do. Difference is this season our record was better because Hank was playing really well. Again many were calling for Cam over Hank last season at this time.

Now with that said, just because we did it last season or the prior season doesn't mean we will do it this season. I personally will bet on this team playing well as they have done every season the past few years, but at some point that well will run dry. I am hopeful it will not be this season.

Hence why i have said numerous times your defense can not be the man to put fear into the other team.

Yeah, I thought the Step play was a penalty as well, but they didn't call it...is what it is. I don't complain about refs...things usually even out.
Sadly, they haven't yet this year. We are still the least penalized against team by a lot.

It's fine to call out the d but the game winning goal was a team effort. Everyone stopped skating.

They were out there for a long shift....because none of them could clear the zone. That's been a weakness all year.

Kovalev would at least shoot the puck. Kreider doesn't do much of anything these days.

Long shift, but it wasn't all on the D...it was the D and forwards. The in zone coverage has been poor overall recently, not just on the D. To me the whole team is off their game right now. That tells me the team isn't as focused and into it as they need to be...and that happens over a long 82 game season. We are in a funk that really started at TB...we'll see if they can get out of it tomorrow against Philly. Big game at NYI this week as well.

He's a waste of a forward spot. It's ridiculous. At the very least he should be a physical presence out there. I don't know what contract he's playing for. He deserves nothing.

# of PP's for doesn't mean the Rangers aren't getting any calls. Not sure the Rangers have really earned many calls. The Bruins have the # 1 PP, and the Rangers PK was bad today. Bruins took advantage and scored two huge PP goals.

Kreider has a good shot, but is really inaccurate with it...another issue with him. For a guy with his shot it is very rare he actually scores on a rocket. To me he is a very low IQ player who doesn't always bring A effort. Bad combo.

Watch a Kreider interview and you see there's not much going on upstairs. This is a guy you will end up keeping around too long playing the what if game.

WAY early, and this is more for down the road, but Kreider is a guy I would package for a big proven playoff scorer later in the season.

The window is closing on this team, we need to win a cup soon or it will not happen. This season and maybe next season and that's it I think. We should be focused on that right now, and waiting for CK to smarten up and play with big effort 90% of the time is not a good recipe for our team.

Just stupid that the team gives away pts because they lose focus and can't finish out the game.

Here we go with the dumbass Chuck stupidity. Trade all our prospects and picks to go for it now. Freakin moron. You haven't learned a damn thing from the Yandle and St. Louis trades. Other than one run, they gave away 4 first round picks and a good prospect away and haven't gotten back jack.

The organization has a huge goalie in the waiting in Shesterkin. Amazingly, they are going to step in it again with a goalie once Hank is too old.

Learn anything from the trades you loved when they were made...especially the MSL deal...LOL.

I wouldn't trade all our prospects...I would however trade Kreider...because as you started a thread saying...he has nothing in the toolbox upstairs...LOL.

Oh dumpy. PLEASE continue to do what you do.
